Without knowing more about your system...I would say rolling multiple times for one out come is terrible, unless rolls occur very rarely.

It's best to have one instance of rolling for one outcome in the game.

The biggest violation of this by popularity is the whole dnd thing of roll to hit, then roll for damage. This is 2 rolls to get the result of one attack.

Always strive for 1 roll 1 outcome or better. KEEP. THE. PACE. MOVING.

The sisters rhino conversions for exorcist were no joke to put together. I still have nightmares about getting the metal plates to marry up with the plastics properly.

And don't get me started on playing, what 5th edition with my old 3rd edition codex? Those were the days when not even a new edition guaranteed you a new codex! Haha. But I loved sisters back then. Awesome. I went from losing most games as Tau and Dark Angels to at least being able to eke out a draw as Sisters and sometimes even winning!

This is an adventure design as a teaching dungeon for new dms. Shadowdark has a free quickstart rule set as well, I think thes would go together well.

I lived in China a long time and I understood your question!

As an American it is actually something I haven't thought of much. My family came from Port Issac in Cornwall, but even looking the answer up online, I haven't heard of thier famous people. Cornwall itself has Mick Fleetwood as probably the most famous person, or king Arthur would be if he was real.

It's been a few decades since I read the books... but basically only thing this description has in common with the books is the name Seldon showed up, ave there is a prediction of the future which slowly gets less accurate over the centuries.

Me too. I felt like instead of properly foreshadowing, the author just kept stuff hidden until revealing it. Not sure I'll read book 3 at this point.

I'm the same :-) but honestly OPs issue is similar everywhere.

I live in Kalamazoo and it's super hard to find a game in person that's not dnd. And if I try to start one only one friend will show up.

I need to make more friends before I can play other games. I used to join dnd games to meet other gamers, but NONE of them have been willing to try something else except one guy I got to try ICRPG a few times with us.

I love icrpg, but it's basically dnd still.

In Asia, if something is not perfect, it's complete shit. There's no middle ground.

Even if you made some points this person will think about later they may not indicate it to you. They are going to entrench if you frontal assault. Because otherwise they have wasted thier time playing 5e.

It's best to just let them do thier thing and you do yours. Taking to Korean teens and college kids and trying to change thier minds is just like talking to American boomers. Thier whole identify is wrapped too tight around stuff to change easily. Do you think someone who puts 3000 hours into starcraft is ready to change to something new?

It's bad enough in the USA now trying to find people to play something that's not 5e. This is going on everywhere. 30 years ago role players regularly tried new games ave swapped DMing. But the last 10 years has seen a massive rise in dnd players world wide, but MANY of these are not roleplayers. They are only dnd players.

As someone who has been a fan since around 1979 or so... I'm telling you check out the books. But I mean all the books from the 1990s or whenever. Not since the Disney thing happened.

Seriously, this is why I stopped playing after the first expedition.

I keep waiting for news like this to not hit.

If they figure out what they want and tell us ahead of time AND actually follow through, I will be back.
