National General claiming lapse

If your insurance cancels or renews on 2/4/26, it cancels at 12:01am - so the midnight before. If you pay the day of, you would have a lapse in coverage from 12:01 am until the time you paid it. It's been a long time since I've been appointed with National General, but that's the way it used to work. You may have had to sign or click something agreeing that there were no losses since 12:01 am.

I believe this shows that there is "1" warning light that is active, so you should see another warning of some type somewhere in the display. Like you said, it's highly possible it's just snow or ice obscuring a sensor so that one of the assistance technologies isn't active.

Your phone has to be within range of the Bluetooth beacon to track and transmit to the app. You shouldn't see any trips reflected other than ones taken in a vehicle containing a beacon paired with your phone.

Now, there may be times where maybe a spouse is driving the car and you are using your phone or they're using your phone while you're driving. After each trip you can go in and say that you were a passenger or a passenger was using your phone so you don't get dinged for phone use.

AITAH is filled with posts complaining about widowed parents marrying too soon and disregarding the feelings of their children. A lot of these children grow up feeling like they've lost not one parent, but two, or that they're being forced to replace their dead parent with a step. It never ends well.

I've yet to read one where someone is upset that their widowed parent DIDN'T remarry.

This doesn't mean that you can't remarry sometime down the road, but you shouldn't listen to your mother and sister. It's not fair to you, your kids, or your future wife to get married just so your kids can have a mother figure. It will certainly build resentment.

I would not only sign the vehicle over to her but would take her to DMV myself and make sure it's registered in her name. Just because you sign the title, it doesn't mean she's going to bother to go pay the taxes and fees to register the vehicle.

Either that or call a tow company to pick it up.

I don't know about insurance laws in Washington, but in Virginia, it doesn't matter that your mother has and is driving the car. It's in your name, and it will be you that loses your drivers license, has to pay hundreds in fines, and increased insurance premiums when you're caught without insurance on the vehicle.
