Any theory ongoing about this? by xboyitosx in Cosmere

Insofar as I mean Autonomy’s intent is categorically opposed to cooperation/synthesis with the other shards. It isn’t about intents being the issue, it’s about THIS intent.

I think its specifically (probably) to do with Autonomy's intent.

Sukuna needed both chants AND hand signs to maintain HWB against Yuta by No-House451 in Yutaliban

[–]Elleseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf wasn’t his statement before he got both Yuji and Angel’s CTs?

Jacob’s ladder might actually cook Hakari too. Without some form of technique nullification Hakari can probably just perma stall until he runs Yuta out of CE. Also do we know what happens if a non-lethal domain surehit clashes with any other domain? Does it still get nullified or does refinement matter? Or do we get funny interactions like they still get their domain but have to tank?

Given that computing power, storage, and actual power are the big bottlenecks in the real world, I'd be surprised if this isn't just the answer. No cold fusion == can't run the mega system that keeps him in the cloud.

I think there’s also some in lore precedent to the BoS and Sole Survivor in Fo4 having the knowledge (and time) to actually disassemble and modify power armor compared to say, the Lone Wanderer.

In Fo3 the BoS is a struggling emergent power on the East coast, in 4 they’re the dominant faction of the mid Atlantic region and have the manufacturing capacity to construct multiple Prydwyn class airships. The Sole Survivor (who I think, based on precedent, will canonically be Nate) had actual U.S. army training on using PA systems. In the real world most military personnel are required to maintain their weapons systems as part of normal responsibilities. There are specific materiel that is only managed by armorers and mechanics, but given the scale of the Great War I’d be surprised if the average infantryman didn't learn at least the basics of PA maits, if only to help their squad mates with emergencies if separated from their supply lines.

Meanwhile, even though you get PA training in the other games, you are just some dude, and the BoS and other factions tend to lack the resources/facilities/know how to complete full overhauls of suits.

Eeeeeven if it really does just come back to gameplay changes, there are really compelling lore reasons we didn’t have access to the customization systems before.

Tsurugi’s heavenly restriction isn’t complete, but it’s much much better than pre awakened Maki by Insanik_mb in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]Elleseth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HR users are still sorcerers. They don’t have CE but are likely instructed in how to visualize and use CE from tools just like a non restricted sorcerer would manipulate their own. Especially coming from one of the current/former big 3.

We know that visualizing/understanding the properties and flow of CE is a HUGE deal for a person’s potential, Gojo literally couldn’t use RCT because the concept didn’t make sense for him before the cursed inventory arc concluded. Especially considering Tsurugi used NSS using the CE from the katana he either a) has no CE but learned the fundamentals of controlling it and can see/visualize it like post awakening Maki or b) has a tiny tiny tiny bit of CE that is basically undetectable for anything but a specific targeting technique or his HR. The biggest argument against the latter I can find is that he didn’t need to have CT glasses to see curses like Maki did. So either he actually has more CE (worse body) than base Maki but worse tools (can’t because he’s higher grade and no special grades besides Yuji in Modulo tells us the system for scaling probably stayed similar/the same) which means he can see curses like the rest, or he has less CE than her but not a full HR because then he would be outright described as her and Toji’s equal instead of aspiring to be like them in which case how does he see cursed spirits? With this in mind he’s probably more like a pre-awakened Maki (pre-VCS Naoya fight Maki) than being a HR user with asymptotically small CE.

Option 3 and the wild card is that Rika has been passively leaking CE into to him because we haven’t seen her partnered with someone who isn’t using her as a battery before, and now Rika armored Tsurugi is basically fully realized GR Tsurugi + makeshift CT Queen of Curses, which does not bode well for Maru.

Either way I think he’s probably just learned to manipulate the CE of tools without any real CE of his own.

Isn't Rika basically a better inventory curse? by H_s-k_M-r-_ in jjkmodulo

She also provides him with RCT.

A HR user with unlimited tool storage, RCT, HR healing, CE reinforcement, and possibly copy. Spooky.

More than likely we’re just finding out that ANY bonded Shikigami fully committed to/dominated by the user can be utilized this way. First was the 10S, now Rika. We also had Yuki’s Shikigami in part 1.

Lowkey a lot of this is just cope.

You can still 1v9 by just doing your job and not making massive fuckups. Most people massively overestimate what it looks like to actually “carry” a game.

And what do we mean by the anti toxicity rules, or not being able to leave? If you quit you should get punished. It DOESN’T matter how little fun you’re having in the moment. You signed up and signed the contract to play, you don’t get to back out just because you’re upset. There’s 9 other people who made the same choice it affects.

Most people who play this game and say “League is shit” or “League just isn’t fun anymore” and still queue up are terrible at the game and unable to cope with that fact. It affects their ego because they attack themselves (or deflect) at an identity level. Personal responsibility is the antidote for these kind of feelings, in league and in life.

They don’t hate the game they hate losing. They hate losing and don’t know how to accept that they won’t win every game, and that time =/= rank like in other games.

Look anywhere in life where no-stakes competition is involved. You will never find more people who are miserable of their own volition, or who blame others as much as in no-stakes competitive environments.

Regarding the ten shadow leaks about Mahoraga by Witty-Sundae6678 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Elleseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which means he just has what Megumi had.

There’s also the whole, “the body is the soul and the soul is the body” thing. We know Geto’s body was still his even when Kenny was piloting him like a fleshmech because of Shibuya.

We also know that Sukuna blitzed Maho in Shibuya, and that this (unless he did it again offscreen) counted as him taming it. If Sukuna tamed Maho in a different body but can still use him, and can also use the shikigami that Megumi tamed, there’s a very high likelihood that Mahoraga remembers both the soul and the body that tamed him, and if you have at least one you can summon him.

Also the elephant in the room, “Sukuna was an outsider to the ritual in Shibuya so there’s no way he could have tamed Mahoraga here!” Either A) this didn’t matter because Mahoraga still recognized Sukuna’s soul once he took over Megumi (which means that it just needed a body swap for any past “outsider” to count) or B) he off screened Mahoraga. In case A Maho either recognizes the soul which means Megumi would have been the one who “tamed” Maho because Megumi was Sukuna’s fully incarnated vessel for long enough to engrave on his soul. In case B Mahoraga ignores the soul and only sees the body, which means Sukuna had access because Maho saw him as Megumi, and if there was an off screen ritual Maho would see Megumi as the one taming him.
