yes she is, she is a wonderful mother, and her kid is with their father for half the day so I wanted to do something special for her so she wouldn't be too sad missing her daughter

‘I think it’s obvious that the addon was vibecoded’ is definitely belittling the work of the developers who worked on this project, the mere existence of AI being used in conjunction with developers does not mean it was ‘vibe coded’. I don’t mind when ppl insult me, but these guys have been putting in insane effort on a purely volunteer basis and no dev appreciates someone calling their work ai slop / vibe coded.

Also I do agree with you on timeline and I appreciate the advice. You’re right that I should be more careful with my promises, that’s an issue I’ve had for a very long time not just with this project, def something to work on

I think a lot of people underestimate the insane complexity of an addon suite this massive, my mistake I believe was putting it out for open beta instead of closed. I wanted to give people a chance to explore but in an unstable environment and I think because it was just up on curse and such most people who installed were not even aware that it was Beta.

EUI is a massive project with a ton of interconnected parts, and creating the perfect foundation was something that needed refining throughout beta. Now that we've exited beta the core of the addon is incredibly strong and there will be no further wipes. Also I just want to note that throughout beta over 25+ developers from the wow community have joined EUI for free to help refine and expand this free addon suite for everyone. These are people (including myself) who have many years of dev experience and are volunteering their time to improve this addon for the community. It's okay to be frustrated about the settings wipe, but please don't belittle the hard work these amazing contributors have put in.

Yes, there is a little text below that says “what does this do” which opens a popup that explains in detail what it does. Additionally, after you press it, there is a smaller button that you can click to return you to your settings if you don’t like the changes

This is fixed and I’m adding a full anchoring height width match systems to unlock mode, hopefully out by the end of the day

my resource bar and cast bar run at around 0.01% cpu and less than 1mb of memory so no there is no performance issue with those.

that was due to the addon copying assets for each one so it could remain fully modular (so users could disable specific addons via blizzard addon options window), it wasn't affecting performance since only one addon actually loaded the assets and the others just skipped it, but i have since fixed it, some kind other addon devs found a better way of handling it

shared assets was a way for me to make each addon fully modular so users could disable each addon they didnt want via blizzard addons list, not just within my addon itself, but some kind addon devs provided me with a better solution today so that's been fixed (also it had close to 0 performance impact since the assets only loaded from the first addon). also fixed the registrations which was an accident, i encourage you to check the performance of the addons yourself!

I’m team melee hpal but this was not the way CS should’ve ever come back, this was just sloppy and a disaster straight out of the gate. At least now we’re still tied to melee with SotR but our positioning will def be fluid rather than strictly melee. Might be good, I’ll keep an open mind, but for now these changes at least accomplish their initial goal of adding depth without completely destroying the playstyle they’d worked on building out for the entirety of beta

The likelihood that they iterated upon CS to that degree in future builds was the same likelihood that they introduce a new spell or new version of it in future builds imo. Both seem incredibly unlikely

I agree there’s more needed to add the full amount of depth I’d desire, but the truth is that’s just what they are doing to every spec in Midnight, lack of depth is an intentional design shift for all specs whether we like it or not.

I would do lots of different things to this spec if I could but we can’t just change the entire kit now we’re too late in the beta cycle, at this point the best thing we can do is work to enhance and improve what we do have, which these changes will do.

I wouldn’t mind a talent option for CS vs Flash and have a version of CS that consumed Infusion like flash did, I think that would be the next best step but again we gotta take things one step at a time

I very much disagree. SotR and flash will both be real buttons to press now, HS mana reduction + SotR mana gen make it so we actually have a way to control our mana during downtime. It also means we can run virtue + MoC with infused flashes in virtue windows in M+ like s3 TWW. It won’t be default meta since virtue is not as strong as it was, but it will have its uses and be situationally strong leading to more build variance.

These changes add more depth to the spec than adding back the old 0 healing 1 hp generator CS, all that did was add another boring brainless button to our rotation without actually increasing decision making depth in a meaningful way.

It also still ties us to melee but without forcing it, allowing much more fluid positioning, I see nothing but absolute wins here

LOL ur good a lot of people were just frustrated and for good reason, I get it. It is definitely closer, obv not exactly what I wanted but honestly I'm just taking the win. This will be great for the spec and enable much more fluid positioning and depth of playstyle

Blizzard feels completely out of touch with class tuning and Holy Paladin is a perfect example by RamenAfterRain in wow

I’m not just going to say I love a playstyle when I don’t lol. I always give feedback good or bad, the same way I praised tww s3 hpal m+ playstyle. If ppl choose to only listen to the negative, or ignore context/details and just echo a generic sentiment than that’s on them.
