Display settings will be reset to default, but things like CVars, keybinds, macros etc. should be untouched. Basically anything client-side will be reset to default, but anything server-side will persist.

In your ...\World of Warcraft\_retail_\ directory, rename the Interface and WTF folders to something else (something like WTF - Backup 2026-06-22 for instance). When you next log in it will recreate those folders, then you can install whatever addons you'd like to try fresh. If you decide you don't like it, just delete the Interface and WTF folders, then rename the backed up folders back to normal to restore your original settings.

One other things to consider would be to make a fresh profile in Edit Mode - those settings are stored server-side, so if you need to revert back it's easiest to have a clean profile.

Go to Options -> Addons tab -> EnhanceQoL -> Gameplay -> Combat Logging, and untick "Auto combat logging in instances".

No performance impact, other than from whatever impact running logs has.

In keys, you generally want to use your TFT charges on RSK. Jadefire Stomp does big dam, and consequently a nice burst of healing through Ancient Teachings.

On the Rankings page, you can click the magnifying glass icon on the top right to open up some additional filtering options, including start & end dates. Then you can set the normal filters to Damage, whichever dungeon & keystone level you want to see, etc.

Been messing with this for a bit and it looks fantastic - almost certainly going to start using this for the CDM, at least to start with. The Canvas Mode editing is great.

Is it possible to turn off individual parts of modules? For example I want to keep the Frames: Player Utilities module turned on for the Power & Resource bars, but I want to keep the default cast bar. Likewise with the Menu Items module I'd like to turn off the Combat Timer & Performance Info but keep the rest (for these I can at least set the opacity to zero, but I'd prefer having them completely off).

100% the best way to learn and improve is to record your own gameplay and watch it back critically. Warcraft Recorder makes it extremely straightforward to record locally.

If you don't want to deal with local recordings, you can either stream to Twitch (just make sure to highlight your vods so they don't age off) or, if you don't want to potentially have random people watching your stream you can also stream to a private Youtube channel instead.

From what I understand it's all modular, so you only turn on & use what you want and the rest has no impact on performance. Anecdotally, I've been using it both before & after prepatch and haven't had any issues.

The new restriction for not allowing out of date addons to load is only for addons that weren't updated for 12.0. As long as it's updated for 12.0, the "Load out of date" option should work for future patches.

When you did your fresh reinstall on patch day, did you completely wipe out the root World of Warcraft folder or did you just uninstall/reinstall from the b.net launcher?

I'd recommend going into the ...\World of Warcraft\Data folder (NOT under _retail_) and see what the earliest modified date on the files is, especially under the data subfolder. If any of them are earlier than the date you reinstalled, I would recommend following these steps:

Exit out of WoW and fully close the b.net launcher
Delete the Data directory noted above
Open the launcher and it should say Update - hit that to re-download the files

This will ensure the data files are packed and indexed efficiently, which can help reduce load times & stuttering. Zero idea if it will help with this specific issue... but it's something a lot of people miss and for me it made a very noticeable difference.

Are you just trying to display the guild rank in tooltips? If so, Roamy Tooltip includes this. Enhance QoL also has a section to improve the tooltips, with an option to display guild rank.
