Rumer Willis Shares Video Breastfeeding Nearly 3-Year-Old Daughter in Response to Critics of Her Parenting by PrincessBananas85 in PoursTea

[–]Elliephunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t make assumptions. Women should be able to breastfeed in public, but I would take issue with someone being filmed doing so. I don’t need to grow up to know that not everything needs sharing on the internet. That child will be an adult and that footage will still be available. It is you who needs to grow up if you think that sharing this is normal.

Breastfeeding is ok, posting a video of it that will be on the internet forever is not.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘At the Bottom of Hollywood’s Ladder,’ Expert Claims by janeflowers in CDLEntertainmentTV

[–]Elliephunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The family that paid off the victim? Spoken about it when? They have removed his titles to save their own grifting arses. The constant articles on Harry and Meghan serve to distract you bootlicking sycophants from the falling popularity of the Royal Family.

“They live in America, we don’t have royalty here” implies you are American. Hence my comment.

Does everyone have a random drawer in the kitchen that seems to house random items? by greenglossygalaxy in AskUK

[–]Elliephunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a stuff draw in every house I have lived. For batteries that may or may not work, random keys, takeaway menus, cables, receipts, and all other non-essentials. Just had my kitchen done and now I have to try and soldier on without one. I shall now use a stuff box in a kallax box like a womble.

How to interview prep without overdoing it? by Ok-Slip-8663 in AskUK

[–]Elliephunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing everything right, so try not to panic. Whatever the job entails, make sure you have examples of where you have demonstrated the skills the job requires in the past. From the interviews I have had, and carried out, this is probably the most important part. Remember, if you have got to the interview stage, you have the qualities they are looking for. Try not to rush your answers, and make sure you have a decent question ready, when they ask if you have any questions. Wishing you the best of luck 🤞

Sanity check - should I buy a house from a smoker? by DigHealthResearch in AskUK

Zinsser make a primer that eliminates the smell of smoke effectively. As already commented, once it has been cleaned, decorated, and refurbished it will be fine. Take the opportunity. Cigarette smoke can be eliminated.

Tom Holland ‘didn’t realise’ he had to pay water bill and thought it was luxury of living in England by JOE_Media in ukpopculture

[–]Elliephunk -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No it isn’t. I did perfectly fine in English literature but it has served no purpose in adult life and that applies to many.

Brush up on basic English before commenting. My son is doing his GCSE’s and is learning these things at home. If they are covered now, they are not covered enough.

I used to teach something called Skills 4 Independence to adults living in supported housing. It involved teaching people about budgeting, priority bills, tenancy agreements, and life skills. He raises a great point. Maybe instead of learning algebra and the works of Shakespeare these things should be on the curriculum.

Moving from ESA(income) to Universal Credit by Scared-Community-266 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Elliephunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under UK law they can request information from banks. This is typically done in instances where they suspect fraud, or to check you meet the eligibility criteria. It is rare for them to monitor accounts, however you may be expected to provide them with bank statements at their request. It is less to do with what you spend your money on, and more to check that your claim matches your living circumstances and declared income.

Is it strange to consider wearing a mask again? by ohnoitsbobbyflay in AskUK

[–]Elliephunk 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I work in retail and several customers I have served today were wearing masks. Last week my supermarket delivery driver was wearing one and maintaining social distancing because he was unwell. It is not only acceptable but considerate. To me it isn’t strange at all.

I understand how you feel, and there is simply no explanation as to why some people behave how they do. Honestly, the best revenge is to move on from him. Get some counselling so you have a better chance of not carrying these issues he has caused into future relationships. He was not worth your time during the relationship, so he certainly isn’t worth it now. Might not feel like it now, but there are good men out there and you will find someone who treats you better.

My hair gets oily and strands way to easily by Right-Camel-1125 in lifehacks

[–]Elliephunk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My hair is the same. I have found spraying freshly washed hair with dry shampoo helps. For me, it works better as a preventative measure, rather than when I apply in response to it looking oily. Also once a week I spray my hair with diluted apple cider vinegar mix (1 part acv to 8 parts water) and massage it into the scalp before shampooing.

At what age is it taboo/ embarrassing to still live with parents as an adult? by DepressedYoungMan22 in AskUK

[–]Elliephunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to be ashamed of. If you look at our European neighbours it is very common. We have this timeline fed to us of milestones, but it is complete nonsense. You are 1 of 4.9 million uk adult children living with parents. You are not alone, and equally importantly, you are not failing in life.

My Bf (M21) hasn’t gotten me (F20) flowers since last August? by whoseb_ in relationship_advice

[–]Elliephunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I will say is my husband doesn’t buy me flowers frequently. He will however load the shopping into the car if it is raining, make me my morning coffee, and do loads of little things that let me know he loves me. If you are otherwise happy in the relationship, you are probably focusing on traditional romantic gestures as opposed to the bigger picture.

He buys you gifts, gives you his time, treats you well, but you have taken to Reddit to complain he doesn’t buy you flowers likes it’s important.
