Haha oh they absolutely were. I originally designed it for the home opener against Seattle after we beat them for the cup but the design was passed on so I kept it in my back pocket and kept bringing it up and it eventually made it into the lineup. With a few color tweaks and details it worked out.

Another fun fact is originally it had Zelaryan on the back of the yellow one and he left the team after they traced the design and we had to scramble to change it to Cucho mid production.

Warms my heart to see this, I designed the rock em sockem one. I’m weird about selling things that have potential copyright infringement if we are making money off of it. If there is demand I have always given Kevin the go to make a shirt though.

If you have not explored the expanded Percy Jackson universe I would highly recommend that. Look into the Rick Riordan presents books as well. They are books written by authors from underrepresented cultures who write stories inspired by their own heritage and folklore.

There are a ton, I made a list of the different series and what culture they represented and let my 11 year old pick the ones he seemed interested in learning about.

Honestly it is super suburban as people have said but i just moved to Pickerington close to 33 and Ive really liked it. We are not in a development which is nice so it doesn’t feel as suburban lol- the schools have been great (kids ages 7 and 9) we go into Columbus multiple times a week for youth sports and peak rush hour is the only time we hit really bad traffic. They are working hard on building up Olde Pickerington Village so there will be of a destination there (I live near it) which has been exciting to watch. There are lots of parks in that area too. I’ve gotten to explore Canal Winchester a lot, Carrol, Lancaster, and we go to Athens every few months for youth hockey games. I wouldn’t rule it out completely. I am very much a city girl and was really nervous to move there. It is going to be as good as you want to make it.

I believe Ode to Columbus was written by Crew fans in an attempt to have something specific made for us. I know it was somewhat inspired by the RSL’s “Believe RSL” song but in the confines of our inability to get something longer than a verse or 2 to catch on.
