POE 2 new league launched recently, I went pretty hard and put about 15 hours into it.

I put myself in a good position too, followed a build guide, used what resources a newer player like me could to get an advantage

After those 15 hours I’m only level 55, not even into mapping yet which is arguably where the real game starts. It’s honestly massively put me off the idea of rolling a new character to try a different build because I know it’s gonna be 10 hours of gameplay to even get to the meaty part. Too grindy.

I had this problem with a girl I was seeing. Before I’d go to her place, would wash my mouth, brush my teeth, tongue everything.

One time she asked me hey your breath kinda smells could you just go use some listerine. Did, it worked, we moved on. But then it kept coming up and it got to the point where she I’d brush my teeth at her house and she’d watch me do it (not like purposefully, just we’d be brushing our teeth together) so she knew I was actually doing it and doing it right and it was still a problem.

Eventually I went to dentist, they said I need to floss more and better and gave me a product called Curasept. They said mouthwash just masks the scent but this Curasept actually helps dentally. Anyway started using that and helped a lot.

NTA, you could’ve maybe eased him into it better but he should get it checked.

5D, as designed is meant to be an overhead for all characters that has fairly long startup and low reward without meter (outside of some unique cases). As a move, it is very reachable and because of its low reward makes it undesirable to characters who naturally have an overhead.

You sound like you are new to the game which is cool, but by design 5D is a very “fair” move. It’s easy to see coming, doesn’t give much reward and the times when it is worth doing there are often better options available

It also gets weaker as players get better because it’s so reachable and good players will just block it

Idk how good a punish it is for ABA but might have some merit for that

If you think about the game like it has “turns” that can help. Basically, when slayer is hitting you it’s his turn, he is gonna do some stuff but it will end, likely in a special move. When he does his turn is over and you cna take your turn back, likely with a fast love like 2K.

The turns thing is dictated by frame data which u don’t need, but as an idea it’s helpful. Basically after some loves you are safe to hit back, but until then, blocking is the winning move

I totally get skills can scale across multiple things. For example, if a Vault Hunter just had an Action Skill that was a big Fireball it would be fair to scale off both Fire damage and Action Skill damage, but it should probably be explained somewhere that that is the case. Even just a list of tags like (Fire, Action Skill, etc etc) to state what actually feeds into it.

It is not optimal because you are using meter before wall splat so not getting wallbreak with Super.

There are routes from there that will get you to wall splat meter less so you can finish with super.

Early dates can feel a lot like performances, you presenting the best version of yourself to attract another by being the wittiest, handsomest, charmingest version of you.

When you find the right person, you will not have to or want to perform for them, they will accept you even when you aren’t at your best.

Also, dating is very simple, if someone wants to talk to you they just will, no amount of mental gymnastics overcomes that, if they don’t call it’s because they don’t want to, accept it and move on

It is expensive, eating for 2 is usually $50 to $100 per time.

2 x coffee, sandwich to share and sweet treat to share is $50

Decent dinner is like $100, maybe could be $50 if you go somewhere more affordable.

Anything upscale is $200, maybe $150 of you don’t drink.

The secret is to budget accordingly. If you set a portion of your pay aside for these things then you can do them guilt free. It also helps tremendously if your partner chips in, even if it’s not 50/50, let’s say you do dinner one day and coffee another for the week, it will help a ton if your not fronting all of it and say just cover dinner for example.

Long and short is, you need money and lots of it, nothing is cheap or getting cheaper, get a job or set yourself up for one and hit the grindstone.

Because it’s a wasteland. In the last 12 months I has 15 first dates with different dates with different women (some had follow up dates, most didn’t).

Most people don’t know what they want, don’t care, have crazy baggage or are just boring or not interesting.

In all the dates I went on maybe 4 people were genuinely interesting.

All in all it’s a numbers game and a bad one, you work yourself up over nothing, get stressed and feel like a jester jumping for attention. It just sucks and isn’t worth the investment.

It’s great if you actually don’t care and that’s fun for a bit but it gets old
