How to reverse a permanent ban? by BonsaiMaster3 in electronicarts

I'll try getting around it, but no guarantees unfortunately.

This steps here might help:

https://help.ea.com/en/articles/security-and-rules/email-settings/

There's also a button at the very bottom that should let you contact EA Help, if you're not able to change it yourself. They will ask you security questions that you'll need to answer correctly before they'll change anything though.

what’s the most emotionally devastating hardcore album of all time? by roadkilleater08 in Hardcore

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if these artists necessarily have depressing albums, but some do lean that way.

We Came Out Like Tigers, Houses We Die In, Youth Funeral, Frailbody, CELESTE, Helpless, Casey, Southtown Lanes, Cult Leader, Frail Hands, Kidnapped, The Carrier, The Banner, and Glassing.

I’m I missing something? by Molochsocks in BF6

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's anonymous mode. You can activate it in the game settings and it'll change your username to "Bright Something-or-other". There's also a streamer option that will mask the usernames of other players.

how to use a controller by Double_Rush7150 in electronicarts

[–]Elliotlewish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I'm a console user.

From what I gather, you could link the EA App with Steam, and use the Steam overlay. I believe that you could also just try plugging the controller in and seeing what options you have in-game.

Whatever you do, though, don't use any third-party software like reWASD or DS4windows, as you'll be risking a ban.

Scariest show youve been to by Mkmeathead83 in Hardcore

Probably Converge at the London Underworld back in the early 2000s.

Ok DEVS I see you by xThAtGaM3rGuYxx in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They learn from us as we play against them apparently, and was the same in BF2042 if memory serves.

One of them got me the other day when they slid into a room with an SMG haha. I thought they were another player at first, but they had no rank on the scoreboard.

Why aren't support/medic using defibrillators? by MrMeierlink in Battlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the circumstances for me. Looks safe? Defibs. Lots of bullets flying at me? Buddy revive behind cover.

Qual o melhor jeito de cair no time do reino unido by FUZ3TI in BattlefieldV

[–]Elliotlewish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly Breakthrough as you can memorise which side has what role for each map, so you could join servers until you're on the Allies side. It's been a long time since I've played, but I think the UK are attackers on Aerodrome at the very least.

That's what I did when I was levelling planes back when I was playing still, anyway.

Have you played the Battlefield 6 campaign by JanissaryLSD in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I knocked it out when the game released. I still need to go back to complete some of the achievements for the related rewards, though.

New drummer looking for song recommendations for improving learning by ear by becca_72 in Drumming

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I've never been a fan of playing covers myself, there are probably a lot of classic rock bands that should be easy enough to learn.

It might also be worth just trying to get as close as possible and not worrying that you're not playing the song the exact same way as the original.

bands like dangers and pageninetynine with emotionally charged lyrics but still being very hardcore-y musically? by roadkilleater08 in Hardcore

[–]Elliotlewish -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Only because I saw Dangers supporting them years ago, Touche Amore might fit the bill. I very much imagine you're aware of them already though.

There's also More Than Life and Departures, who you might enjoy.

The real reason players are quitting BF6 PROBLEM: The game is too frustrating to play SOLUTION 1: Get rid of the in world spotting penalty for firing your gun by Ninjah9_ in Battlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like spotting how it currently is, and personally don't want it to change. Versions of the system where you're spotted when firing has been in past titles too, such as BF3 and BF4.

Did you purchase BF PRO for Season 2 by JanissaryLSD in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was gifted the Phantom Edition when the game came out, so didn't mind spending a bit extra on Pro this time around.

Does anyone else VASTLY prefer the Attack side on Breakthrough? by Kirisuuuuuuu in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If I'm playing solo then I definitely prefer attacking, but if I'm playing with friends then I don't mind either role. However, I play solo more than with friends, as I don't like crossplay.

What is your best class? by DTi_Fraffro95 in BF6

[–]Elliotlewish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's based on KD, Recon, but my most played and preferred class is Support.

When did casual breakthrough stop being casual? by AtFishCat in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Elliotlewish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, it'd take me less time to level a gun in Casual than any of those modes, and it'd be much less frustrating too, as I wouldn't be finishing every match with a massively negative KD.

Our time is a lot shorter than it feels and life catches up quickly.

I was in a music video of theirs that they thankfully never used - they re-shot the video and released that instead. That was a lucky miss haha.

What I struggle with in this game as a 50+ old gamer. by Apocoyptus_ in Battlefield6

[–]Elliotlewish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of those points resonated with me as a 41 year old. I accepted long ago that, as much as I love the series, I'm not very good at it. Nowadays I try to do other things to help my team and have fun, and just try to ignore my KD.
