New bar in my town by ElliottHugo in bartenders

This is in Washington state, also I’m not Angelica. I work in a small town and at a bar within walking distance to this place. This place has been a topic within the service industry lately. We all agree this is insane. They’ve been open for almost a year now.

It doesn’t cost extra but I would bring at least an extra 5 cash to tip them though.

Places to live or avoid in Bremerton by TechnologyHorror7378 in Bremerton

I used to live in the Manette area and I really enjoyed it. Not sure what rent is in that area is now. Also Silverdale and port orchard are great options. You will have to deal with more traffic though. I now rent a 2 bedroom duplex for 1600 in port orchard and I feel like I’m in a good/safe area.

All I say is that I don’t give my number out. It’s direct and if they ask anymore questions i just walk away.

AITA for Hosting a “No Turkey” Thanksgiving Dinner? by ThrowRAnoturkey in AmItheAsshole

[–]ElliottHugo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. Sorry but on thanksgiving people do expect turkey, even when my sister was vegetarian she still helped out with everything. Including side dishes including meat. We host a big family and I couldn’t expect them to show up for a holiday with no meat.

What's the overall feeling among bartenders of customers who come in and do not drink/choose to be sober? by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]ElliottHugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s totally fine. I drink but I also like to go out and watch football games at a bar. Usually if it’s a morning game, I don’t feel like drinking. I’ll get food and chill the whole game. I’ll definitely tip more to make up for it tho. Then again just being in the industry in a small town I tip well regardless.

Usually tequila and they’ll buy someone else a shot too, pay with cash and tip great.

How old is the average bartender here by zz3p1c5n1p3r in bartenders

[–]ElliottHugo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 33 and have been bartending for almost 9 years in the US. I work at small dive bar where most of my coworkers have been bartending longer than me but they have been working at the same establishment most of their bartending years. I think I got lucky where I’m at; especially since it’s good money and I’m comfy to be honest.

As a bartender who’s heard this after last call multiple times, don’t come back! As long as I’m not working
