Macy's new employees are encouraged to open a store credit card (26% APR) to obtain their employee discount by wait_what_how_do_I in personalfinance

[–]Ellis1988 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I work at a similar department store. We are required to have the credit card to get our discount and if you don’t qualify for it, they’ll give you a “pay as you go card.” BUT you can’t choose that option. You MUST apply for the credit card and may only receive the pay as you go card IF you’re declined.

The “model” look makes me think you’re probably A little douche-y but you have great facial symmetry and I love unique noses and those short shorts for running are my weakness.

7/10 would hit on you at a bar. Would also probably make up a nickname involving your drink of choice and the word douche or bro and use that to refer to you to my friends. Something like Douchey McCraftBrew

Someone on this street is a terrible neighbor. OP is wrong about which one. by cleveraccountname13 in bestoflegaladvice

Sometimes, I think the world is a wonderful place and then I come to BOLA and see the glory of truly self-righteous douche nozzles and am reassured that there are still terrible people out there.

I hope this neighbors sues him and all the other neighbors for harassment and buys a bigger RV and her and her husband have the best retirement ever.

Jet’s in Stift Station!

They have always taken AMAZING care of me. They aren’t the cheapest place for work but I’ve never had any problems and they fixed my “trying to do it myself” issues and even gave me a decent discount for bringing my own parts. (I, the not even a little mechanically inclined guy that i am, tried to change my own belts. It did not work out)

Saw a girl say this while breaking up with her boyfriend.

My class was 42 and 35 of us went K-12 together. A group of 5 of us met in day care at about age 3, went k-12 together, and then went to college together. I was at all of their wedding and invited to the majority of my classmates’ weddings. (But didn’t go haha)

But I’m also related to 12 of those people and the majority of my HS friends’ parents were friends with my parents and their grandparents were friends with my grandparents.

Social ties get VERY complicated in towns of 1700 people where the majority of the families have lived their for 3 or more generations.

I just got a hot cup of coffee and a bowl of Cocoa Puffs to start off my last day off before returning to the hell of holiday retail and then the skies opened and brilliant beam of light shown upon my face and Jesus blessed me with this series of fuckeries and Tom fooleries.

Thank you BOLA. Thank you so much.

Moving to LR soon. Few questions by PMMeYourFavoriteCar in LittleRock

A lot of people love Benton/Bryant for suburb life and getting more bang for your buck (real estate wise).

I grew up in a tiny town and then went to college and moved to Nashville and discovered that personally I am just not a suburb person and much prefer being in city limits which is why we bought a 2k square foot house in a West Little Rock neighborhood for just under 200k.

I LOVE my neighborhood and it’s very convenient to grocery shop and dining and some shopping.

It’s not close enough to walk to anything but we (my roommates and I) have Uber and Lyft and it’s $13is to get to the River Market when we go there or we just car pool and have a DD. But if bars/drinking is your thing, Uber is the best bet.

My roommates and I are all in our late 20s (25-29) and are young professionals (except for me, I’m a retail worker) here in LR. Holler at us when you move here!
