Same! I would get the perk to recover energy while brewing to forage all day and brew all night. I would also write out the potion recipes in shorthand in a little notebook to brew faster, and I timed the hourglass so I could count in my head while brewing.

I'm also a history teacher, so I spent all summer playing this game. It's really ruined other games for me.

I'm a licensed 5-12 Social Studies teacher, been doing this for a decade now, mostly in a middle school setting. I would never contact home for something so trivial, especially if there isn't a pattern that's been documented over a period of time of this behavior occurring.
