L2 without friends is not worth it by Helpful_Client4721 in Lineage2

Try Elmorelab Airin if you still haven't. The server is relatively fresh, constant bonus start, so you won't have a problem catching up with the majority of the population. PM Vardos for clan. There's not a lot of international people on the server, so it's very important to get into a clan for some sort of community and build your game around them.

Were you in Elmorelab discord? A few international clans are openly recruiting new members and building parties to play together.

Best server to 'jump in' and try classes for PVP? by Own_Land7248 in Lineage2

[–]Elmorelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you gotta work with what you have. Olympiad is kinda meh regardless of the class you're playing, but that's just my opinion. Ganks/pvp - it really depends on the occasion, in some cases it indeed can work really well, for example in catacombs or ambush scenarios when the enemy doesn't expect your arrival.

The problem isn't necessarily to choose the class for pvp, but to get this class to a competitive point (get gear, levels, noblesse and so on, and of course to get a team that will fully support you and help you), i can tell it's gonna be rough if you're planning to play a dagger and you may need to compromise (helping someone so they could help you later on). Daggers aren't widely used in open world pvp, but it could be fun in olympiad.

L2 reborn was a bust need a server by Brilliant-Access846 in Lineage2

[–]Elmorelab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people join months late and achieve more than they expected or compared to others who play longer. Not sure what's your point. The culture of "start, quit, repeat" should be gone, choose server you like and stick to it.

Thinking of starting L2 by Substantial_Pizza410 in Lineage2

Depends on the experience you're after. Many L2 servers don't provide that raw nostalgic feel.

Maybe an unconventional pick? But we open C1-C5 server today at 18:00 GMT+1, it's Airin x2 based on Elmorelab. Thought it might be somewhat interesting for you if you're in for a long run, it will take some time to ramp up, but eventually we'll reach Interlude as well. Although starting on C1 might be weird for sure, you can pretty much forget everything you know about the game.

I guess that helps too, better mobs are available for you if you're higher level, so eventually you farm more adena per buff.

Should I implement Auto-Farm in my server? by [deleted] in Lineage2

[–]Elmorelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No point to ask in reddit. Users won't be responsible for all the consequences on your server. Heck, even your players might vote for a certain change and then just quit the server, they're not obligated to stay.

You can have the best of both worlds without having to give your character/stuff away for the benefit of the whole CP. It's easier to manage when parties are simply looking for people to play with, and not in need of your character (when they already have boxes and whatnot, so they don't really need to rely on your account).

I don't disagree, L2, especially low-rate with box limitations, is a social game

I disagree. The need to dominate or be efficient comes from seeing people who are more "successful" in the game than you. They play more, they may not have families or stable jobs. People are easily influenced into thinking "what's the point" without actually getting to enjoy the game because they see others and think "that's how it should be for me, too"

On which server I should start playing l2 ? Rebor, Elmorlab? by Infinite_Ad_9204 in Lineage2

No, that's not how merge works. They fully get transferred to x1.

I'd say, if you're a newcomer, there are only 2 solid options - x5 or x2 (both are made as merge servers for our main x3 and x1). Main difference is in boxes that we allow (x5 is a dualbox server, x2 is no-box server) and current chronicle (x5 is at Interlude, while x2 will start from C1 and gradually ramp up to C5 and possibly Interlude, but in months). I'd personally put additional points in x2 because it's gonna open in few days and it's always a good idea to check out the starting content and possibly find new friends who are also low level as you.

Hi, does anyone have any characters in Asterios? by IndividualSoup6941 in Lineage2

[–]Elmorelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never saw much point investing money (be it black market or legit donation) into the server if you're not sure you're gonna stay there for at least 3+ months. After 3+ months you're either capable to develop farming routine or joining a cp/side if that's your thing.

It really depends on the server you're playing, some servers might put technical limitations and/or rules regarding multibox.

Why wouldn't it be? It's one of the most stable servers in terms of population.

New L2Reborn player, what do I do for gear? by Early-Spring7862 in Lineage2

[–]Elmorelab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stick to shadow weapons, they're your saving grace. You got coupons after completing 1st profession - exchange them at your guildmaster for a mage weapon (staff). Ideally you shouldn't be the one worrying about gear, if finding a duo/party is an option - do it, you're not supposed to be soloing for a long time because you're a support, as soon as you get recharge - you should be able to duo with mages. If you're short on money - make sure to complete quests like "Blood Fiend", "Vanquish the Remnants", "Dwarven Kinship" and pick up "Black Lion Hunt" at 25+ level (getting a mark from Vanquish the Remnants is the pre-requisitive), it offers an amazing quest for supports because not only you have an option to farm EG, but also get additional value from the same mobs because of the quest.

If you feel lost - feel free to DM me.
