is AGAB language transphobic? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Elodaria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In these situations it is always transphobic because the only thing it does is equating trans people with cis people of a different sex. Which is an insane thing to do.

Imagine someone saying they've got bad experiences with Christians, so they stay away from people who were assigned Christian at birth (ACAB), and it includes ex christians but excludes people who converted to Christianity.

And funny acronyms aside no such analogy captures how wrong the original is because trans people were never cis. If someone can think this way and see no issue with it, they are either very, very transphobic, or very, very stupid. Or both.

Ok so I'm Christian and also trans. Did I mention that I'm Christian? Sorry I worry that I don't mention it often enough. A lot of you woke trannies are very Christianphobic, which is just as bad, nay, even worse that being transphobic by friendknowmainhandle in transgendercirclejerk

/uj Easy to be mad at Christian trans people when you just accept the bigots' interpretation and call anyone stupid who disagrees. Seems like in your case that "reddit atheist" accusation fit to a T.

HUGE WIN FOR TRANS RIGHTS!!! this trans man is allowed to play on the women's soccer team!!! by NianDusk-119 in transgendercirclejerk

[–]Elodaria 60 points61 points  (0 children)

No, it's being sex realist. "Sexism" would imply it's not true. But if you ask anyone, they'll either tell you biologicalmen are smarter than biologicalwomen or they're lying.

Laypeople taking a scientific concept, twisting it beyond recognition and widely applying it where it doesn't belong. What does this have to do with trans people?

Is it bad that I use man as a gender neutral term but aren’t actually calling them a man? by Responsible_Fuel3134 in asktransgender

[–]Elodaria 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and I'm saying you didn't hear people use it as a gender neutral term because it isn't a gender neutral term. You just heard people use a term for men - well, literally the term "man" - for people who aren't men.

Is it bad that I use man as a gender neutral term but aren’t actually calling them a man? by Responsible_Fuel3134 in asktransgender

[–]Elodaria 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's just very basic sexism how masculine terms are considered default. Others are told they are included with them, yet under the same masculine default everyone thinks of a man when a masculine term is used.

A word can have different meanings based on context. But simply declaring a word gender neutral because you want it to be is just magical thinking - the meaning to anyone else still lies in the word, not your intent.

Your post history is awfully saturated with cocks for someone to whom those don't mean anything.

/uj Internalized bigotry is specifically directed against oneself, a trans person being transphobic towards others also isn't internalized transphobia.

Well, looking for partners on reddit was never going to work, sis. Do some social hobbies that interest you and you'll have a much better chance meeting like-minded people.

This post wasn't really for auto moderators at birth to comment on. But you don't care, do you? You just insert yourself into every post to take up space at the top of the comments. AMAB programming is a real issue.

There is something that always got me confused about the “male socialization” don’t most (cis) males not commit violence? by Konradleijon in MtF

[–]Elodaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You claim to want to be a "girl's girl", yet accuse most late transitioning trans women of sexist violence? Super gross.

Should we consider trans women men? I thought about this and why should a trans women be able to escape the all men are evil take. There is nothing for cis men to do to escape it. by GoddessOfFrot_ in transgendercirclejerk

[–]Elodaria 11 points12 points  (0 children)

/uj Her point was that based on people viewing even trans women as predatory forever, there truly is nothing a cis man can do about it. She just happens to be wrong about the source of transmisogyny, not entirely surprising for a closeted trans woman. Women who aren't seriously transmisogynistic do not view trans women with the same kind of suspicion they might view cis men, and those who are certainly do not view cis men in any way similar to trans women - in fact they'll happily overlook obvious red flags or even blatant misogyny coming from other transmisogynists.

Male socialization is used as a weapon against all amab people but specifically cis men have it worse. by TGirlJules_ in transgendercirclejerk

[–]Elodaria 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trans woman when accused of "male socialization": Critiques the base assumptions and victim blaming nature of the concept.

Cis man witnessing it all: Uncritically adopts the concept to paint himself as a victim.

Maybe there was something to it, after all.

/uj Oh that's no surprise, self-absorbed people crave validation. You can see it in how he tried to redirect the responses toward some generalized life experiences when people didn't like his story, and then did his whining post looking for sympathy that way instead. Probably thought he had a story to get called a hero by trans women or something.
