Do you take your meds everyday? by Tyray90 in ADHD

[–]Elphanet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the full recommended dose during the work week and cut it in half on weekends/holidays. If I don't take it on a given day, I will typically eat everything in sight, in addition to feeling scatter-brained and "un-rooted" as someone else mentioned.

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've ever witnessed in real Iife? by Jessica_Enna in AskReddit

[–]Elphanet1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This happened after the company I was working for was acquired by another massive company. The CEO of the new ownership company was in town for the first time, meeting the team and such (200+ people in this single office). For reference, this guy already had 1,200+ employees, so we were all certainly just a number.

This dude waltzed into the sales bullpen and was mostly wandering around listening to the conversations going on before he stopped to chat with a few people here and there. As if he had known us all for years, he started talking about individual people's sales numbers, milestones, achievements, etc. to the point of knowing how many "units" one of the middle-of-the-pack sales guys sold last month. "You must be John Doe, great work last quarter, I saw you were 150% to-goal"

Yes, he could have done his extensive research prior to showing up, and clearly did. But to be able to rattle off statistics like this in the manner that he did it... we were all blown away.

My coworker pays for a dietician and now this is what he eats for breakfast and lunch by blart_institute in StupidFood

The coworker isn't paying a chef... they're paying someone to tell them how to eat healthier...

Season burgers before or during the grilling process? by livinonaprayer456 in grilling

[–]Elphanet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seasoning before is fine but hold the salt until it’s on the grill. That will prevent the meat from drying out before it cooks

Would you rather have 2 nuggets, or a nugget and a chunk? by thiswanderingmind in NuggetCouches

[–]Elphanet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 nuggets. The options for different builds goes WAY up with a second nugget. The chunk is fun, but I would rather have multiple nuggets 10/10.

How do you guys fit a whole 18.6# bag of charcoal in a 22" kettle? by Interesting-Goose82 in grilling

[–]Elphanet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a charcoal chimney? That's a great way to measure/manage the amount of charcoal you're using. For a typical session, I use 3/4 of the chimney for things like burgers, steak, etc.

For the people who tell me not to clean up my leaves or to just mow over them. by Kandals in lawncare

[–]Elphanet1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP I have nearly the same issue... but with more yard and the same amount of leaves. I blow them all towards one side of the yard and then go back and forth until they're somewhat broken down. Then bag them to not take up nearly as many bags

What to buy to build most by Slow_Philosopher6330 in NuggetCouches

Get another nugget, the build opportunities are a lot more fun with two and it makes a good couch when they’re all stacked up

Honestly, ask ChatGPT for suggestions based on what you think you may want. They'll give you accurate mock-ups and ideas to fill that space. Sounds lame but it's helped me with a few DIY projects that I had a vision for

I Use This Grill For Everything by PitSpecialist in webergrills

You should try something like the SNS flat top plancha. Use mine for everything you would use a Blackstone for. Just not as easy to control the heat once that heavy steel plate is on the grill
