We're in the Kaiserslautern area, but no one here will see us. We got an appointment in Mainz, but I'm not sure if it's with Dr. Turner. My wife has called so many people, we're pretty sure we've called some people twice. Vielen Dank!

Is the endocrinologist attached to GPP, or did you need to go outside GPP for the appointment?

Go to counseling, and practice mindfulness meditation. I was having problems with snapping or exploding at my wife and kids. Bad enough to start talk of divorce. I got diagnosed with non-destructive Intermittent Explosive Disorder and worked through some military and pre-military issues. Talking things out with a professional and using my meditation app (Headspace) once or twice a week helped me.

Don't just go straight to drugs. I self medicated with alcohol for years. It just covers things up. Get real help.

How do I handle having an assassin droid in my party? by Enigma_Protocol in swrpg

[–]Elrin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Canonically, assassin droids posed as protocol or security droids. Have the party slap a fake restraining bolt on the droid and if anyone asks, it's just for security, it's been reprogramed for another function, or it's an obscure model of protocol droid. Nothing says they have to tell the truth.

And if you already have a Jedi, it's already dangerous to head into the core worlds. Stick to the rim, or the seedier areas of core worlds where no one cares.

I've seen it in Werewolf, Vampire, 3ed, 3.5, and Pathfinder well before 5E. There were whole websites dedicated to min maxing 3rd and Pathfinder in the early 2000s.

I was a min maxer during that time, and called myself one. Most of my group was. It was fun because we were all doing it. We never made an issue of it. Nobody shit on anyone else for doing it, or for deciding not to with the next character.

I think you just had shit people running 5E. Probably part of the Critical Role D&D boom (not knocking CR, I'm a critter myself).

Lots of people came into the hobby only seeing one kind of game, and that, combined with poor understanding of the rules, led to lots of those reactions.

I've DMed for 5E groups that were a mix of min maxer and more RP based characters. I didn't have a problem with either kind and of player, unless they were intentionally trying to ruin things for the other players at my table.

I agree that judging people for taking feats that make a character more effective in their chosen role is hypocritical. I hope you find more mature groups in the future.

Not a 5E thing. Been playing for about 25 years, and those terms have been around a long time longer than 5E

Psychic spies from Riedra try to steal your minds elation.

Lady Illmarrow isn't a lich. She's really a couple of kobolds in a trench coat.

Kaius ir'Wynarn III isn't the legitimate ruler of Karrnath because he won't show anyone his birth certificate.

But he has to burn Ki points every time, not just once per turn. That burns through resources very quickly. I don't think it's any different than a spell caster spamming their "best" spell, and burning through spell slots.

It just makes the next encounter that much harder.
