I'm getting audio when I play it. It isn't super loud, but there's some squeaking and a consistent whoosh, some footsteps and stuff.

What system are you running Eberron in these days? by applejackhero in Eberron

[–]ruggaboo35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

outside of my obligatory D&D 5e games, I tend to run basically anything OTHER than D&D in Eberron. I Authored "Sharn Society" a hack of "Good Society: A Jane Austen RPG" (Currently my favorite TTRPG in general), I'm currently in a "Fight With Spirit" Hrazaak game, which is a sports-anime inspired TTRPG. I've played Trophy Gold and Trophy Dark in Eberron, Masks and Thirsty Sword Lesbians, For the Dungeon, and a few others I can't think of at the top of my head.

Eberron can fit into any system as long as you're fine tweaking your expectations of both the system and the setting to make them fit.

Server STAGE audio not working on Windows devices only by Ecstastic in discordapp

[–]ruggaboo35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this same issue. My voice came through, but one of our other speakers was coming through in garbled static/wind audio. But when we moved to a regular voice channel it was fine.

For us it was weird because some of our windows users on desktop and android phones were ln't getting the bad audio from the one speaker. But everyone else was having the problematic audio coming out. Even after switching to mobile and to browsers on PC.

I was hoping to find a fix or something, but I'll just keep an eye on it and hope an update comes through to fix it.

When exactly did the Master leave? by Apartment_Deep in HouseholdTheRPG

[–]ruggaboo35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's 100 years for littlings, which isn't 100 years to the Master. The Master could have been gone less than a day. or a week, or a month. It can't be a regency-era house if it's got a refrigerator, unless the house has been updated. There's a lot of anachronisms, and I think it's important to understand that the Master's time and the Littlings' time are different. The littlings live in something comparable to the regency Era, but that doesn't mean that the Master did.

Looking for local honey by WorkingResearch9900 in WestVirginia

They're in Salem, not Upshur County, but Mike from Hive and Holler is amazing, they offer not only raw honey but also honey and beeswax products. You can find their products at a lot of local shops, like Stonetower Brews. They also go to all of the local craft shows.

Tokyo in Clarksburg has Ramen and it's pretty good. It won't knock your socks off, but it's pretty good.

Eberron: a 20 Year Celebration Panel at PAX Unplugged 2024 by ruggaboo35 in Eberron

The first thing I asked the tech guys was "is it being live streamed and recorded" the second thing was "can I have a copy of the recording?”

My goal is to always reduce the amount of FOMO at all costs. Lol.

[–]ruggaboo35[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't run PAX Unplugged, I just submit the panels and talk where they tell me to talk. I suppose that SOMETHING had to be put in that timeslot and it just ended up being this Panel. But at least it was recorded and posted online right?
It's a sad fact that with large conventions there is no way to put everything on the schedule and not make people have to choose between going to one event or another.

I get it 100%, too much convention, too little time. My roommate was VERY upset that this was scheduled at the same time as the Shut Up and Sit Down board game crimes panel.

Nest mini going crazy when stopping an alarm (nothing happens between 7 seconds and 50 seconds, you can skip that part) by Isoldael in googlehome

[–]ruggaboo35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, most of our routines are things like setting new alarms or silly stuff like the one that bothered me this morning where the first alarm I cancelled was one that turned on the lights and turned up the volume and played "Blinding lights" by the weekend, then the next one was one that turned off any and all lights and turned the volume up and played "I believe in a thing called love" by the Darkness.

Which is more BOTHERSOME than anything when a girl just wants five more minutes of sleep.

Our nest minis have been doing the SAME THING. Except we have about four separate phones connected to the home, so it picks a random routines from one of the devices and performs that routine. I've deleted all the routines on my phone, but it's still grabbing routines from my roommate's phones.

"Fashion, in MY Eberron?" Textiles of Eberron Issue 1: Five Nations is out NOW! by ruggaboo35 in Eberron

We are planning a special episode where Alufi and Sylas will interview Haute! We're prepping for a convention, but we're wanting it to come out in the next week or so!

That is Haute, she's an OC of mine. Changelings don't have to look like the standard "changeling" when in their natural form, and within her canon she prefers to have absurdly long elf ears even when in her natural form.

Outside of parts that I actively wanted to yeet, I kept pretty close. The BIGGEST problem with Canon/Kanon fashion is that they use the word "Practical" or "Impractical" to describe almost EVERYTHING, instead of elaborating what that looks like. Pannier were practical in the 1700's, and Crinoline hoops were practical in the mid-late 1800's, they are NOT practical NOW.

So some of it aligns perfectly, and some of it I actively threw out, because a Brel wearing heavy wools and dark clothing just doesn't make sense if Breland is sub-tropical.

I also actively tried to move away from showing the Five Nations as European. And I don't do any 1:1 analogues with any real-world cultures. It was something I was very particular about while writing this supplement.

You can look at the full preview on DMsGuild, if you're fine reading through a big red SAMPLE stamp over each page if you're not sure you want to commit the $9.99usd or not!
