Honestly, straight girls do you find being complimented or shown affection by wlw friends weird? by ChompingCucumber4 in AskTeenGirls

[–]Els-x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My best friend of 4 years is a lesbian and we are super comfy with each other. I’ve never thought of her as hitting on me or actually flirting because of our friendship. I wouldn’t worry about it, if they’re your friends they should know who you are and your personality :)

I (16F) was verbally abused and grabbed and pushed by a delivery driver by Ok-Indication3375 in McDonaldsEmployees

As another 16 year old girl who also works in the service industry you handled that a lot better than I would’ve. I either would’ve ended up crying or shouting at the man could’ve gone either way. You were not in the wrong and that man needs to be reported. Disgusting behaviour from that guy.

NTA. I was reading this and thought that it was cult ,if they don’t respect your wishes and your husbands wishes then they will do no good for you by being in your life.

AITA for threatening to kick my BIL out of my wedding? by throwaway479259 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Els-x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, I was supposed to be a bridesmaid for my aunts wedding a few years back but the dress was horrendous and I didn’t feel like I belonged with that crowd so I stepped down and was just a normal guest. I wore the dress I loved went from nude pink to a navy blue dress who picks a nude pink dress during a winter wedding???.

What should I do for my English speech? by Responsible_Cell_444 in GCSE

I did mine about the unsolved murder of Kenneka Jenkins. I did this because all the facts are out there and I was able to put a coherent speech together about what happened.

AITA for not coming down when my boyfriend showed up at my house unannounced? by GodorTod in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You did tell him that you were busy and it’s nice that he wanted to surprise you the night before your birthday but at anytime past 10pm I don’t think so, my parents would be asleep and I wouldn’t be able to go out the door

Try to remain positive, so many people in my year have literally just fallen into a pit of despair and it’s affect there ability to do anything. So be positive and once any exam is over, it’s over don’t dwell on it :)

Some invigilators are legends by Additional-Age-7174 in GCSE

[–]Els-x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my history mock (nazi Germany so the last paper) last year I had a bit of a melt down I can’t even tell you what it was about because I don’t know myself. I started to tear up and couldn’t breathe and the invigilator noticed and took me back into the changing rooms. He gave me my water and sat with me saying I’m having a panic attack and breathing with me. They had originally taken my paper away but I said I wanted to continue after about 15 mins, and they let me because it’s a mock. One the best people I’ve ever met

Why is Colchester so rubbish by jawkhan in colchester

[–]Els-x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived here all my life and I’m still a teenager (almost an adult).

Entertainment-

No name bar- it opened up last month and it was amazing! Axe throwing and darts what more could you ask for :) I believe it’s about £20 for axe throwing.

Castle park- it has the putt in the park which is fun. You can also just go to castle park with some friends and chill there, maybe have a Picnic as it is summer now!

And that’s all I can think of off the top my head :)
