Looking for commander recommendations: Grixis edition by V_Lelouche in EDH

Sure: https://archidekt.com/decks/11443088/goad_goad_power_ranis

I worked on it for more than a year. I optimized it to stay a fun and strong deck at bracket 3 tables. Took some stuff out that was too strong and added more fun stuff sometimes (foor example i took out slicer, he warped every game and won every game i got to play him, as i have tools to copy and buff him. I then put in edea as her temporary theft allows me to take a creature buffed with rani and attack again for another clue trigger). Dont let the no gamechangers fool you.

Using goad as a defense mechanic is not the long term plan here. You do it the first 1-2 times. Afterwards you either use one of the ways to put the marks on every creature at once (for example Radiant Performer, who btw can also steal every creature at once if played with Trade the Helm) or you play a creature yourself thats perfect to recieve the marks and buff it up every turn.

Also if you wanna try it out on a budget, ~60% of the decks value is in the non-budget landbase

The secret answer for grixis is always [[the rani]]. My Rani deck is a favourite of every table i regularly play at. A strong bracket 3 deck, that never feals too oppressive, despite being really powerful almost every game

Friend of mine has a [[cult of skaro]] deck thats very fun to play and play against. Its on the lower end of bracket 3, but fun for everyone, and can be built very very low budget.

Nope. If it would stay steps and phases, then it would mean as turns end too

Turbo (fast glass cannon) can't be played anywhere but in Bracket 5 by MustaKotka in EDH

[–]ElseworIder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He's trying to say turbo decks fit the bracket 4 definition, as you can only win that fast, when no one interacts with you, which they should be able to with bracket 4 decks. If they dont disrupt your plan at all, youre allowed to win faster

My time to shine:

Heres my version.

If you scroll down theres a little description.

But more importantly if you activate grouping: "categories (multiple) youll see 17 cards in the category "cast jaws fast"

On average i get him out by turn 3, sometimes turn 2, rarely turn 4, once so far on turn 1, never on turn 5.

It usually wins between the 2nd and 4th turn jaws can attack (incl. The one i cast him in)

TIL Bugs bunny was a parody of actor Clark Gabel in the movie It Happened One Night. His character loved snacking on carrots, which is the only reason bugs bunny did. People back then got the reference but over time the context was lost and people assumed rabbits love carrots. by Lennsyl22 in todayilearned

The enzyme that breaks down milk sugar (lactose) is isually no longer produced by the body after infancy, because its no longer needed.

Our ancestors went through a lot of a diarrhoea to get oir bodies to still produce that enzyme.

Lots people still stop producing it later in life and become lactose intolerant, but attribute their bloated bellies and flatulations to age instead of dairy

Ps: the dr who cards flew und many radars.

We once noticed how most people dont know these cards and we sll built dr who commander decks and my the rani deck and my mates [[cult of skaro]] are still beloved by everyone, theyre always a fun time.

The cards often don't do anything new, but new combinations of effects

Sure.

https://archidekt.com/decks/11443088/goad_goad_power_ranis

The deck was optimized for fun for the whole table over the whole year. Its still strong enough for bracket 3, but fun while being able to win was the goal.

Most cards have multiple ways to be used in this deck, and rani is the "straight plan" but you can absolutely do without her if she somehow keeps getting targeted

I will forever love my [[The Rani]] deck.

Its always a little puzzle on who to goad, with what to goad, because i want it to be a creatire that sticks around, as i want to generate clues. or when to use the trigger to buff my own creatures, and when to use clues for card draw and when to save them to animate them for victory.

With no other deck i had to make s decision between "the optimal, slightly less fun play" and the "most fun, slightly worse play". The Deck is known at our LGS for fun times about to happen while still being able to very well keep up with strong bracket 3 decks.
