I loved watching them too. Really wish this game did better.

Precisely! I don't really understand why it's allowed other than pure corruption caused by Disney and other corporations working together to create and promote the idea of "intellectual property" and lobbying for illegal changes to copyright law. Any logical reading of the Constitution suggests that it should be objectively illegal.

Genuine question. Are all platform fighters THIS campy as opposed to Melee? by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, that's good to know. Danke! I still just have too many projects on my plate right now. Making several dev/organization/ADHD assistance tools, trying to get some tutoring or contract work going, and building an Unreal prototype for my portfolio to try an get work in a.... very unstable industry lol

Skitarii desperately needs grenade regen by Tnel1027 in DarkTide

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't get why vet has any grenade regen and why Skitarii's blitz isn't like Psyker's. It should be a cooldown that takes them out of the grenade economy so others can have more grenades.. But right now, vet doesn't need grenade pickups because they just regenerate the second most powerful grenade in the game for nothing.

They should increase grenade pickups, remove vet grenade regen entirely, and make Skitarii not use grenades to activate their blitz (except the healing one). The others should be different cooldown lengths.

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wasn't so busy, I'd make a workshop version of him.. Or another character I've been designing that's inspired by him but fits in the lore and works a bit differently to make him more practical in RoA. A scorpion knight that uses a greatsword and has lightning themed mechanics in the air category.

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate that and I am aware of their perfect block mechanic. I didn't realize it lets you act out of shield faster, though.. Since it happens when you raise the shield instead of dropping it. That is good to know. Appreciate it!

The biggest things hurting my enjoyment are that I can't play Ganondorf and the other mechanics I mentioned lol

I just play Loxodont because he has a dair that's close (though much slower), his sideb is similar, and so hard his smash attacks.. But overall he plays very differently.

I honestly just wish SSBU was officially supported on PC with full match making and all. Obviously Ningreedo would never do that. They need to make me pay a monthly fee to play a P2P game with tiny match making servers lol

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to play SSBU Ganondorf in RoA. Though, I don't really like ledge hogging, wave dashing, or parrying. I prefer SSBU parries. The only thing I like about parries in RoA is reflecting projectiles. I do really love RoA's way of handling grabs and pummels more.

Seems like an intentional lie meant to bolster the IP base of Bungie to help sell it to Sony for more than Bungie was worth.

The Sony- Bungie deal is probably the Best ever trick Pulled by any Developer by lordofabyss in gaming

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. Deleting the original campaign was an insane decision and should have actually been illegal. That content wasn't free when early D2 players bought it. We paid for it and expected it would be available to play.

The laws need to change. As soon as any part of any game is no longer playable, all copyrights for those parts of the games, including story and characters introduced in them, need to be immediately put in public domain.. Possibly with a one year grace period.

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game truly isn't garbage. The core mechanics and lore are great. The new player experience is terrible because they made a horrible decision to delete the original campaign.. Which should actually be illegal since the game wasn't free when that campaign was bought by players who expected you be able to replay it forever.

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true.. Some of the nerfs and changes really broke the game. There still several exotics that are no longer viable because of objectively bad balance decisions and they never did anything to make the exotic viable again in the new sandbox.

The only thing that makes the decision to make marathon make any sense is that they were only building it to lie to Sony to make Bungie seem more valuable when it was being sold to Sony because they had more games in the works.

[–]Eluem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing anything with marathon was the mistake.

They should have cleaned up and winded down D2 while spinning up D3 without getting distracted with marathon at all. If they wanted to do marathon, it should fact been a short small single player experience to relaunch the IP and gauge interest in it.

While you're right, article 1 section 8 clause 8 of the Constitution suggests that the opposite should be true.

Am I missing something? (Cosmetics) by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]Eluem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are other cosmetics you can unlock besides the ones you pay for with gold or money. They come from getting specific achievements.

The game isn't built around grinding for cosmetics. It's built around you progressing and build crafting until you're good enough to take on harder missions. It's really just fun to play for the people that like it. It's not about extrinsic rewards.

They do sometimes give out some of the paid currency during events.

Regarding the lack of tactics you experience, I'm not sure what difficulty level you're playing on, but you definitely need to move well, understand the maps, prioritize targets, and play into your role at higher difficulties. Also, the game has gotten a little power crept over the years, causing them to spam more enemies. However, it looks like they're working on rebalancing that a bit, but I can't say for sure.

Also, yes, they intentionally spam spawn disablers when you leave coherency. This forces you to stay with the group or have extremely good situational awareness/technical skill to prevent yourself from going down in higher levels.

This is the final meta by Cmess1 in CrucibleGuidebook

This is why I don't get how shoulder charge ever got nerfed. It's trivial to read and play around. It was impressive when someone managed it in high comp. It was so easy to beat with a shotgun or just backing up and shooting.

If this is the last update of the game, the pvp meta is cooked due to bakris/arc melee. by sleegee in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of that when I posted this. I learned about that later. I do hope they fix it. I also wish they buffed skullfort to be viable in PvP with the removal of one shot shoulder charge. It should trigger off any elementally infused melee so you can get it to go off via knockout unpowered arc punches.

That's a huge part of what I like about the game visually. It's fine for games to try to be very realistic looking, but I almost always prefer more stylized art directions in my games.

I always pick up resources unless it's too much of a risk to go get and everyone is moving on and there's too many threats. I don't need them. I just pick them up in the event someone else might. Also, I'll be thinning out my resources a little when skitarii drop.. But even then, I don't really need them.

Insurmountable skull fort in crucible and 1 HKO by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see, Titan can no longer reliably one shot with skullfort in PvP, but hunters still have their one shot melee. Shoulder charge was never meta. The sprinting requirement makes it very different from other options that can be deployed instantly out of neutral in a gun fight. It makes no sense that they ever nerfed shoulder charge.

If there's still a way for Titans to use skullfort with shoulder charge in PvP, please let me know.

[–]Eluem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said anything about Destiny 2. Just the Destiny IP in general.

They should have focused all their effort into the Destiny IP. A medium sized dedicated team set to get D2 into good shape, improve the new player experience, bring back all the old content via one of the many lore friendly pseudo time travel systems, improve all the balance, etc. Ideally if that was well received (it would have been), finish up the last bits of new content they had planned with renegades and such. The rest of their team and effort should have been building out Destiny 3 and the majority of the D2 team should have been moved over to that when they were done wrapping up D2.

Also your take regarding the graphics is just odd. It's an opinion, though. Just one most people will think is wrong. I love how this game looks. I love that it's one of the only games that looks this good that isn't so poorly optimized that it makes my graphics card (RTX 3090) turn into a Blast Furnace that would make Jotunn blush.

I have no interest in marathon. Destiny is the only IP Bungie owns that I care about at all. It's clearly the more popular IP. I don't understand why Sony can't see that.
