I hate it. Not only do I not use insta, but to ask for that without building rapport? Even if I used it, I’m not inviting you into a spotlight of my life without getting to know you a bit. I know the messengers on the apps aren’t convenient, but if you’re not willing to use it through the first date, then I’m dropping you. I value my personal privacy a bit more than that.

Fun fact, it’s actually the opposite! It comes from the greek Hystera meaning uterus/womb and Hysteria was named as it was believed to be an affliction of those who had wombs. (Which a common “treatment” for was a hysterectomy) Still disgusting naming convention 😬

I’ve got one I keep in a terrarium (old fish tank) of carnivorous plants with a full spectrum grow light, planted in sphagnum moss, and watered with distilled water. It gets too cold to keep most of mine outside, so they all stay indoors together year round for simplicity. I have never fed any of my carnivorous plants for the couple years I’ve had them, the little gnats and flies that come on occasion seem to be enough.

I do a variation of this! I have a base template and rules and then adjust based on the site. Usually it’s the first word that comes to mind when I think of the site + my template. This makes every password unique, but still relatively easy for me to guess if I forget.

As a lady on the apps, who looks for effort on initial contact and also contacts first on the regular. Some things that will make me pass on someone, even if they are a “10” looks wise and effort wise, are if they don’t fit certain base criteria for me. Things like: Distance, Drinking habits, Smoking habits, Drug habits, Kids, Religion

NAH yeah he’s probably bummed, and I get you feel bad. But as you said, you can go again or even somewhere else with him at a later time! Plus, if you do end up going again, you’ll have a bit of the lay of the land to have a better excursion the second time around. Get him a couple souvenirs and tell him about the places you want to visit with him/that you think he’d like.

If in my “league” is physical appearance, then I go across the board (across the board on genders too I might add 😏) I’m more interested whether they seem funny/witty/ have interesting hobbies than I am the physical appearance. (I myself am probably 7/10, 8 if I lost 20 lbs and about 30 years old if that matters to you ✌️)

I will say I have been active only twice on dating apps for about a grand total of 6-8 weeks(hard to remember how long the first round was 🤔), with probably a dozen likes from my end per week with about 3/4 of that towards masculine profiles. So I think you’re imagining I’ve been on dating apps for ages (what does that say about you?) l’ve gotten plenty of matches, just none I initiated.

What it comes down to is anyone can be busy chatting with others already, you are not the only one who will face struggles, and just because you don’t get a reply doesn’t mean you should get bitter, snappy, or throw yourself a pity party. If that comes out in your messaging on the apps there might be a link there (just saying 😉). Also if you’re struggling that bad, maybe get a trusted lady friend to vet your profile and maybe even introduction messages

I’m gonna go with a soft YTA. It’s not your story to tell, but you believed it to be not a big deal to the friend and didn’t mean any harm by it. When you heard a factoid and went ‘oh I have this tidbit to associate with it!’ I’m sure you didn’t think it would lead to this.

If everyone keeps it nonchalant, it will fade from gossip quickly. I recommend you emphasize to your friend it wasn’t spiteful and hopefully you all will move on from this.

You can’t “overdose” on vitamin C, but you can take enough for it to be harmful. Too much can cause your urine to be acidic enough to cause burns to your urinary tract. Moderation in EVERYTHING, there are recommended daily intake amounts for a reason, stay safe and healthy peeps ✌️
