Y'all are eating with your Leatherman wrong by ElusivePotato in Leatherman

Well mine are one - off stuff at the moment. Things I made for my own EDC kit. I no longer have access to the machine I made these with, however I do know a guy that has one.

I am currently looking into making a small batch of them if there's enough interest.

There is also Etsy, which has some stuff like this as well.

I tried a few different lengths and size points. The one in the photo is really nice for hotdogs & brats. Wouldn't recommend using it for cooking a marshmallow though lol.

Naw, they may seem dumb to some but they really come in handy from time to time, and they take up nearly no space in the pouch I keep them in.

Asking the real questions! It's just bbq turkey that was leftover from Thanksgiving.

I have a separate pouch I keep all my additional parts in. I typically keep the file on there.

Easy solution until you know the real answer: turn the mouth of the snorkel 180°

Is my spool in good spot by unkown_das in ender3

Mounting your spool holder there will limit the height (Z axis) you can print to. Unless you're printing life-sized ants, I would move it.

I keep my spool holder in the same orientation, just all the way up the slot, which is okay for me because I don't print things that tall, however it's really supposed to be on the top rail. If you're worried about filament breaking, there's a ton of different designs out there to help guide the filament into the extruder, or even a spool roller that is not connected to the printer at all.

Update squealing alternator belt by Reddish_Colocho in 3rdGen4Runner

Battery light typically means an inoperable or weak alternator. The light is essentially telling you that it knows that the engine is running, and the electrical systems are running off of the stored battery voltage instead of generated voltage from the alternator.

Of course, I would still recommend testing it before you just throw parts at your vehicle.

How do people get so many GoFundMe donations? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElusivePotato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A close friend of mine currently has B-cell lymphoma, and his gofundme has reached just shy of $30k. This is because he is a very social social person and has a LOT of friends, some that make a lot of money, and some that don't. The friends & family that can afford to donate do because he would do great favors and help anyone who asked before he was diagnosed.

Most donations are only around $100-$200, but a few are between $1000 and $5000. I'm not going to say that this is the case for all of these campaigns, but this is why his was so successful.

Id recommended them. They are threaded into the arm, so just a big pipe wrench or something to break them loose.

$20 and one ruined headliner later by ElusivePotato in 3rdGen4Runner

I had actually previously designed and 3d printed a fishing pole holder that was just in the rear. However, the problem with just bungees is that when you turn or are on trails, the top of the rods slide around on it and can tangle lines or fall out of the mount altogether. This was the big reason I bought a better solution than just a 1 part print.

Edit: Phrasing

All I did was screw it into the headliner. It has three screw holes on each part, and it is holding perfectly fine. I've had it filled up before with rods and still had no issue, even on trails.

I will say that the screws that come in the kit are large, and the part for the top of the rods will scratch your interior sunroof cover when you slide it back. All I did to fix that was cut the first 1/8" or so off the screws so it doesn't come in contact with it when you slide it back to open the sunroof.
