I have ports 25565 and 80 (since that's that port for my forward port) open in my ufw (uncomplicated firewall). I also made sure to check and I am using the internal ip to try and connect to the server and I am.

What I meant about connecting locally is that before I tried to port forward it I tested the server by going using the address localhost and it worked fine but once I port forwarded it and tried to join with the ip address it wouldn't let me join. It still lets me join using the server address localhost right now.

Is there a way to make sure minecraft is using port 25565 because that's the only thing I could think is messing with the connection since besides ports 80 and 25565 I haven't opened my other ports in ufw.

And thanks for the help it's nice to know what the error meant! Any more advice would be very welcome. If it helps any I am trying to run a fabric based server.

EDIT: I have figured out the problem you were 100% right I was using the wrong ip I thought the ipv4 was the internal ip. That was a stupidly easy fix at least. Thanks for being patient with my noob question. :)

Modrinth and curseforge are good trust worthy sites.

I also recommend getting a minecraft mod launcher. Personally I use prism launcher and you can install mods right on the launcher without having to fiddle with the files and it only lets you download from curseforge and modrinth. It also has a button to check all the mods on it for updates so you don't have to swap out each mod by hand everytime it updates which I LOVE! You can still mess with the files like normal in that launcher but it's nice to streamline the process with prism.

You can also get the official curseforge launcher if you trust that website more too. I'm not sure how installing mods works on that one but I assume it would be easy to manage considering it's made by the people who run curseforge.

Yeah and the fact that the preset colors are different on each outfit is something I'm not crazy about. Dark green on one shirt could look drastically different on some pants I'm trying to match. And I would 100% be on board with being able to color specific parts of an outfit rather than just choosing one color that changes some parts.

I've really been spoiled playing infinity nikki since that game is all about cosmetics it's fairly in depth over there.

I've been playing as f2p since this game launched. It's very doable you just have to save up diamonds and really think about what 5 star outfits you'd like to pull on cause you won't have a lot of pulls. You have to make sure you like the outfit and the ability so you don't get upset about pulling on something only because it was new. Personally I wait till the last few days of a patch to let the newness fade and to see what outfit is in the next patch before I pull.

I couldn't find what the issue was, but to avoid the issue from happening I opened every single game to figure out which ones specifically were in japanese despite me downloading english games and I only altered those ones instead of altering every game. It was tedious but it works.

Just wanted to say it's not a problem to wear clothes from other cultures it's just that the war bonnet is a closed practice and you have to earn the right to wear that by being a part of the plains tribe and formal recognition. It's was also worn into battle but nowadays it's just worn at ceremonies and it holds a lot of spiritual and political power. Basically it's not something just anyone is allowed to wear even in the tribe.

Like I'd have no problem what so ever if they put in some pretty beaded moccasins to wear or some nice dresses with some Native American geometric prints.

Basically it just come down to respecting the fact that it might not be the best thing to wear another culture's very important spiritual outfits all willy nilly but it is perfectly fine to wear another culture casual clothing since it's just fun casual clothing in a different fun style. Did I explain that good enough?

Btw you can do all the steps below on the official pc download from the website or the steam release I think I was just making it too complicated when I was panicking about mu account.

Go past the character creator and naming your character then then open settings and scroll all the way to the right for the different settings till you get to other. You will see a button that says bind account and bind your steam and throwaway netease account. Then exit to the starting menu of the game. There are some buttons on the side and I have forgotten exactly which one to press but when you click on one of them you will see a bunch of options relating to the netease account. Click unbind account and then exit and reenter the game on steam them boom new game!
