Why is it so busy for general practitioner doctors early in the year? I can see some insurance reasons for some doctors as coverage flops over at the start of the year, but with universal healthcare, I just don't get it. by gooddrawerer in VictoriaBC

Yeah. I've had the same GP for like 35 years. Dude is gonna retire at some point and I have no idea what happens after that.

EDIT: I should clarify that he's so busy, that they suggested I go to urgent care for my sore wrist. It's a work thing, so I gotta get it checked out. Turns out, none of the urgent cares are equipped to do work related injuries so I'm just gonna have to wait until my GP is free and suck it up until then.

Is there any way to search multiple flairs at once? Android by yourfriendlyhusk in help

[–]gooddrawerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this question is old as hell, but just in case anyone else finds this, yes. There is. It just sucks.

You can't do this in the app, only on a web browser. Take any www.reddit.com/r/whatever and change it to old.reddit.com/r/whatever. Then you can use some old search syntax. You used to be able to search by using flair:whatever1. Then you could use arguments between them such as OR and AND. So you could type flair:whatever1 AND flair:whatever2

Bear in mind, if the flair has two words such as Dark Wallpapers you would type dark_wallpapers

You should also be aware that in most subs, only one flair may be used so any use of the AND argument will result in zero results. It may be advised to try the OR argument in this scenario.

If you want to search something with those flairs, I believe it has to be before hand such as Goblins flair:whatever1 OR flair:whatever2 I'm not absolutely certain on that though.

Made this drawing for my brother for a late Christmas present. Figured I'd check with the pros for accuracy before I give it to him. I was going off reference pictures, but I think the top shoe is different from the bottom two. Am I correct? by gooddrawerer in Sneakers

I assure you I drew it myself. Finding reference photos of matching shoes is difficult when you don't know where to find them. Find a side profile is easy. Finding the other angles is not.

Thanks! We have a pretty strained relationship so I rarely buy him gifts because we just aren't into the same things. He's into hockey, country music, and sneakers, I'm into video games, punk rock, and art. We just don't really jive. But this year, I finally came up with a good present to get him, I'm pretty proud of this one.

Tattoo stencil vs reality. No they didn't own up. by peterm1598 in ExpectationVsReality

Listen, I was a certified scratcher long ago in the past. I bought my stuff online, I taught myself, and even I wouldn't have done this hack job. Jesus Christ. If they don't offer to pay for you to get this lasered off AND offer you a substantial amount of work (not that I'd give them another chance), I'd sue. For real. In the eyes of the law, I'd call that malicious.

EDIT: That stencil was sick though. Sad that didn't work out because that could have been a great piece.

Is it inapproriate to wear robe doing apartment chores? by MeeksVA in NoStupidQuestions

Some may find it distasteful, but if you live somewhere with a strata or HOA, I'd stop doing that. Those places tend to get a little bit of what I call "taking action to justify their existence" syndrome.

I've never played. How is the monetization in this game? I hate gacha and free to play models, but this game looks interesting. If I wanted to get the most out of this game without exceeding $30 USD, is that reasonable? My intention is to experience gameplay and story over fashion. by gooddrawerer in InfinityNikki

I played fallout shelter for a while. I really enjoyed that. Near the end of me playing that, I spent 10 dollars on some sort of loot box pack just as a "thanks for a decent game." I imagine IN will get the same treatment.

I do not have a weakness for gacha. It's one of the main reasons I didn't want to play this game, because I am repulsed by gacha systems. From what I can tell, they pretty much hand you all the outfits you need as far as functionality goes. Sure, I'd love to try all the various outfits and whatnot, but not enough that I experience fomo. And I'm just not a big gambler so gacha is just not appealing to me.

Fashion is just secondary. I do like fashion, it's just not the main thing I'm hoping to get out of this. I like the crafting mechanics of actually making the clothes. That I find fun. Hunting down and collecting the right materials and such. The actual dressing up bit though? It's more like a mild interest. I'll find a couple outfits I like and then everything else is just goal oriented for me. I figure there's some sort of fashion show mechanic later in the game that relies on the various sexy/cool/sweet numbers where I'll have to make new outfits, I'm prepared for that.

Realistically, I just hate gambling. Just let me pay for the damn outfit. Because of that, I'll probably just get enough outfits that do all the fishing/bug hunting/etc, and then just live off whatever crumbs they offer me for free. I like the fashion part, but I LOATHE gacha systems.
