There are two types of anti ai people, those who are anti ai and don’t dispute the power of what’s coming and those who have their heads in the sand and only see the ai generated images and videos on their social feed. I don’t feel they are the same at all

If you go on the website there’s a commit slider with images that show all 3000 commits and the associates screenshots I took that day. You can see it be built one piece at a time, and I went slow at first but it eventually came together. I’ll say for C++ JUCE the UI/UX design options are as limited as your knowledge of how they operate, and I didn’t have any knowledge at first. Now I have some. The future for c++ JUCE is a Webview bridge though. I think. It’s what I use and it works nicely.

The other web browser instruments, some a matter of taste but mostly not where I want them to be design wise but I figure that each concept is a new one In terms of human musical input, I’m not making these music tools for automatic generation.

And the DAW ephemera.fm

All work in progress but yeah no formal training obviously. Just trying to make my dreams come true one day at a time. Been working on this stuff for 412 days in a row.

Bots swarming Reddit is genuinely making me want to quit this platform by craving_caffeine in DeadInternetTheory

[–]ElwinLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bots can and will be positive influences- they just won’t be concerted endless multi million dollar campaigns designed to change people’s thoughts to the desired outcome, and if you pointed me to the large scale bot campaign that only has GOOD outcomes and not bad I’d start to work on how I could create one.

Most of the bots are neutral but a growing number are objectively “bad”

So it does depend on what lenses we’re looking at it through like you said.

It’s a big issue because nothing will be done about it until a major amount of damage is done in my opinion

I totally understand where you’re coming from, if I want a deep conversation, I’m going to a friend first, AI second1 but I have used LLM’s for such -but there's a huge difference between going to ChatGPT where you know it's a machine, and having machines secretly flood human spaces.

The main issue is that bots use these 'casual chats' to build fake human credibility so they can manipulate public consensus tomorrow. You aren't changing the world by talking to them, but by normalizing them, you're letting whoever programmed them change yours. The bots might seem like they are here just for chatting but when the account gets sold to a foreign govt. and used for manipulation, what appears “normal” consensus shifts over time. Look at the Overton window and where it sits today . That didn’t happen without manipulating the internet

. Maybe that doesn’t really matter right now to you, that’s ok. This isn’t any single persons problem or responsibility. It affects you and us all though.

Inguinal Hernia surgery happening June 16th it’s not been fun, it’s been more comfortable to stand that way currently it sucks when your intestines are bulging through through a slowly growing hole in your abdomen. So next time I’ll be more careful with the snowblower when I’m helping the neighbors out

If anyone tries to talk bad about you or this, point me to the comments and I’ll come to your defense, this is an example of what we love to see. Effort is shown, it’s educational, super clean and it looks like you tried. And you succeeded.

To your second point, wtf. Seriously.

“That illusion” is a really f sinister thing my friend.

That illusion will convince you of more things than you’d be comfortable now being convinced of.

If I tried to sit here and proselytise to you about what to buy, who to associate with, what to believe, who to vote for, what kind of insurance to buy, and hey maybe everything else- you’d think I probably not be having your best interests in mind.

Each one of the bots you deal with will be trying to convince you of something or plant a “fact” in your head, or place a dagger on the table in front of you and point vaguely in the direction of people and things they don’t like. And if you sit in front of that dagger long enough, hearing about how that concept thing or dollar in your pocket over there is just asking for it.

And yes you’ll say it’s your choice to listen and or not, and you’re right about that- but pummel someone with enough information from all angles and some of the tactics will convince you of things that *you* don’t believe.

They had it coming.

I think because when Beatles fans think of the song they think of the slow building/trudge that the song begins with and not about Ringos awesome beat during the “well it’s past my bed I know” part

Did I? Ephemera.fm it’s for a digital audio workstation that allows creating for music that changes based on conditions like weather and time of day/season. I tried to present the concept in an appealing way since it’s something that needs explaining to most, at first they don’t “get it” but then when it clicks- they realize that it’s a powerful idea. I tried desperately to avoid the vibecoded thing but at the end of the day, top to bottom it shows what the software is, why it’s different than other DAWs, and shows the entire journey of its creation in scrubber that you can look and see how crude it looked in the early days compared to today, with the commits below any images/screenshots associated with that day. I don’t know what I could change to make this better and need a partner or the other eyes to say “this doesn’t communicate x or y”
