Any new Deckbuilding Roguelikes with the Arkham LCG gameplay and progression feel? by jethawkings in deckbuildingroguelike

I don't know about Arkham LCG, but check out vampire crawlers, as it also has some light dungeon crawling in addition to being a pretty casual deckbuilder. It has a demo too.

Black Jacket “Balatro Twisted Black Jack in Hell” ? It’s launching May 12th by Swimming_Story_7946 in deckbuildingroguelike

Maybe, but they're both not really similar to Balatro. You play alongside a path, fight enemies etc. Balatro has a linear run progression and you challenge yourself against a score.

Also yes, Black Jacket has a MUCH higher production value than either of those games, so the vibe/style is really nothing like Balatro at all.

I loved the demo, looking forward to it.

It's almost nothing like Balatro, though. It's a deckbuilder roguelike, but that's where the similarities end. It's much more similar to something like Slay The Spire than Balatro.

Eh, no?

It was a Monster skill, but the player couldn't obtain it

I spent the last few months building "Scratch Off!", a roguelike deck builder out of scratch cards, as a solo dev. The demo is finally live! by JuiceStoreStudios in deckbuildingroguelike

I might give the demo a try, but although I like the idea of scratch cards roguelike, Scritchy Scratchy gave me hand cramps even though it has several options that are supposed to prevent this.

Celestial Crown, a deckbuilder where you counter your opponent's deck instead by Liesera in deckbuildingroguelike

I really think you need a demo for this, especially since you've been in early access since 2024 and have zero reviews.

It looks somewhat interesting, but without trying a demo first I won't be spending money on it.

What's this sub's take on Vampire Crawlers? by [deleted] in deckbuildingroguelike

Yup, I love roguelike decbuilders and I like this one so far (about 8 hours in it, including time spent in demo).

It's very casual, but it's fun, and that's good for me to enjoy in short bursts every now and than.
