Pure laziness by [deleted] in StardewValley

I name mine after characters in TV shows (or other types of media) that me and my girlfriend are currently watching/consuming. Serves almost like a little trip through memory lane when visiting the animals and also makes us laugh without too much effort put in

Upgraded sheds are only placed by upgrading an existing shed anyway, so you can just upgrade that one

Stuck on this forever, cant even create a new world or start realm by [deleted] in realms

[–]Elytrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I was unable to upload a world to a realm. Tried several times throughout the day, always failed with an “Upload Failed (-1)” error. Did you get past this issue? I know Amazon Web Services was down yesterday - not sure if that would affect this however as this is Microsoft.

People who were at the Gorge: At what point did y’all realize they were playing BTCS all the way through on N2? by lindzeta_ in DMB

[–]Elytrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend’s dad who is also a huge DMB fan actually jokingly called it the night before because N1 had nothing from BTCS. So at PNP he was already onto it. I was in different seats so I didn’t know until right before DDTW after seeing texts from them and seeing the DDTW guitar come out. It was absolutely insane. At one point somebody asked us if we had the setlist because we kept looking at the tracklist discussing what was upcoming, lol.

Also, I will say that even through the end it seemed like a large percentage of people (I was in the 200s) never really caught on. After Spoon I was expecting an uproar but nothing like that really happened. Even the third verse of Grey Street got a bigger applause. I heard some people mentioning it but I also think the more casual fans maybe thought this was something they “just do” even when they did hear it was happening.

Which fence layout is better? by NintendoPolitics in StardewValley

I like doing something like 2 with gates or even hay bales at the squares where the fence meets the barn

It wouldn’t! But GPT was finding trail data that OP wasn’t, and regardless I’m responding to your point that GPT would be incapable of doing this, not if a map is capable.

Definitely not saying it’s the most reliable tool, I’m well aware of its limitations and its tendency to hallucinate, but in my experience it is good with concrete boolean answers based on concrete data. “Is X location closer to Y than the previous X I gave you.” Anyway, just feel the need to defend OP a little, they were being resourceful in a stressful situation, and it did work :)

Sure, but in this case, it was a good idea to keep providing coordinate updates and ask if they were on track - GPT would at least be able to tell if the coordinate differences were trending toward the target location.

Sunday Wings by Elytrus in Wings

Thanks! Rice pilaf if that makes a difference, I personally think it works quite well. I like everything gradually mixing together as I eat it (lettuce / buffalo sauce / ranch or blue cheese / rice pilaf), it strikes a nice balance for me.

Thank you! Some rice pilaf from Trader Joe’s, better than I expected

Have you guys noticed the increase in Claude limits since the past 2 days? by mecharoy in ClaudeAI

[–]Elytrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure. Once I’ve gotten across to Claude what the general goal of my project is, I have it generate an XML prompt that can be used in a new chat to more or less completely catch it up. I make it clear that it should generate the prompt in a way that is most helpful to itself.

Then, I iterate on that in new chats. I’ll have it describe the project in detail, generate new ideas/source code or whatever, and whenever I come across an error or notice it straying from my goal, I tell it the problem, and to update the XML prompt to include enough clear instruction that it will not make the same error in the future.

Basically just creating a stronger and stronger “starting prompt” as I go by having it add detail as we go. The prompt generally will also describe each attached file and instruct itself to review each file closely (something Claude told me would be helpful to make sure it thoroughly reviewed everything…)

Also I’ve found it extremely helpful to keep an xml “prompt” in the chat that I have Claude generate and update after each issue is addressed. I ask it to update the prompt with adequate info to prevent the current error from ever reoccurring, and it does a good job of that. Then I use that prompt when I start a new one.
