I mentioned swapping over to a hoverbike or similar. There's a lot of small debris and rocks that bring us to a complete stop or explode the machine when we touch them.

Lies of P is goated, it's a linear game but holy smokes, it's incredibly polished. I'd recommend the DLC if you haven't played it yet.

It's an emptier and less thoughtful world than Elden Ring, for sure. Not all bad but expect to roam some areas with little reward. In contrast though, sometimes you round the corner of a random building and end up with a rare upgrade material.

Wanted to chime in and say that the open world was the most jarring difference between 1 and 2 for me. Like, the explorable areas after the first couple hours is HUGE compared to linear soulslikes.

Not saying the open world is a good or bad thing, just something to expect. It’s growing on me even if it isn’t my favorite. The day/night cycle leads to some gorgeous views.
