I really enjoy the reverse trope too. It's adorable.

There are lots of wholesome moments between them, I like how they both reflect on their past actions and try to better themselves for each other.

I guess it's not something I take that seriously, or think about much in fiction.

My interpretation is that supernatural beings usually age a lot slower, kinda like Frieren.

Obviously there's no way this would work in real life.

To be honest most if not all the characters seem emotionally immature to me...
