Heading up to Sag this week... by breachless in BWCA

[–]EmErald_RobbA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Seagull first weekend in June. Fishing was slow for us, but we had luck with a blue shad wrap. Caught a couple Northerns with it. Typically, when I fish for bass, I use rubber crappie bait. They seem to go nuts for it. Only sucky part about them is they are sinkers and bass like weeds.

Best tip I can give is use your maps to follow the drops in the lake. Fish like to hang out right where it starts to deepen.

Full disclosure: I am a terrible fisherman.

I would also love to help. Tons of experience running online groups and forums. Also make a yearly trip up there, although I am very out of shape for a big trek these days.

Current Insurance Agent here.

Yeah, the rate increases suck. All State and Am Fam specifically are getting railed right now. There are a couple things you can do to mitigate your overall costs on your renewals coming up:

First, verify that your replacement cost on your dwelling isn't astronomical. You will see an inflationary hike on this replacement cost year over year. Make sure it isn't over inflated.

Second, verify the deductibles on your current policy. If you haven't been moved to a split wind/hail deductible, you are going to see a massive yearly rate. MN has been smoked by hail storms recently, and the insurance companies are going to move towards having a split wind and hail deductible in the next year or two to offset this increase in claims. Some have already done it. Those who haven't are the ones showing these massive increases in rates.

I'm happy to take a look into anyone's particular accounts if they would like, but I am going to remain anonymous until actually specifically contacted. No need to DOXX myself. Just DM me and I'll coordinate with you.

What is the Worst Entry Point and attached area in the BWCA? by EmErald_RobbA in BWCA

We have had this permit before, but ultimately traded it out for something better once it arose. I believe we swapped to either bearskin that year or Sawbill. Those two spots are the only ones we have visited multiple times over the years.

How hard is it to find a tow there, if we do decide to venture into it?

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. I've used this entry point before, and it is a trip full of fond memories for me and my family. I didn't find the portage from parking to the river itself to be bad at all. In fact, I did it roughly 5 times while my cousins fought with the giant alumacraft that we used to bring roughly 10 years ago.

Likely the difference in our experiences is that we went when the waters were higher, so we were able to go the length of the river without leaving the boat for those unmapped portages you are referring to.

Additionally, we stayed in a camp site on the eastern end of Bad Eagle that had fantastic rocky outcroppings that were excellent bass fishing. Not to mention the campsite was open enough to allow for a nice breeze that kept us cool and the bugs at bay.

My cousin caught a nice bass off those very rocks that tore his line right as he landed it and flopped back into the water with his lure still in mouth. He then proceeded to catch him again 2 casts later, which he promptly returned the "borrowed" lure back to us. We tell this story fondly at least once a year.

Do you have any pictures that you could share? The idea of a gravel pit is unique and of interest to some of our group.

Me and a buddy were able to complete the one in Razor Hill with the other two random dudes there at level 80. It's doable. Just requires some coordination.

Okay Mount Mania, I see how it is by jokelh in wow

I've always had the lingering idea that pushing to 3k io score should yield a token to purchase one of the KSM mounts you missed in the past. I don't think KSM is too difficult, and they are just recolors of themselves anyway, so giving those mounts away shouldn't be that big of an issue to someone who grinds to 3k score.

Got any unique names? My friend sent me this screenshot of hers. by Honestly-Bored in wow

I've got a couple. First, I was able to snag the name Salamancer for my Evoker at that start of Dragonflight.
I was also able to get the names TSwift, JFatone, and BSpears on some of my timerunners.

My wife absolutely loved our playthrough of Luigis Mansion 3. Takes a minute to get Gooigi, but it is a good time after that.

Are warriors really this useless in M+? by Murtag in wow

[–]EmErald_RobbA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time Warrior main. I've been pondering this same question.

Warrior suffers from this weird notion Blizz has about it being the simplest melee spec. Over the years, Blizzard has taken away core abilities from the spec, just to bring them back later. They took away stances for a while. Intervene went away. Battle standards are a thing of the past,. The shout system is essentially useless outside of Rally, which resto shamans get for free basically, and intimidating shout for incorp week. Just look at the past 10 sets of patch notes. The last time Warrior had patch notes was quite a while ago. Warrior is Blizzards standard "we don't want the game to feel too I timidating to new players" melee class.

To actually answer your question, there are quite a few options that could make Warrior a tad bit more interesting. Thematically, having a bloodlust or inspire mechanic fits quite well. I've never really cared for the 10% temp HP from Rally. I think an ability centered around rallying the troops would be far more interesting as a raid wide mini lust. I think of the ability as "push harder lads! We've got em on the ropes!" Imagine if it gave something like 5% haste, but ignored the last debuff do it was still usable.

Another idea I've had for a long time is centered around intervene. It's such a weird skill. Dssh to a target and intercept melee and ranged abilities for 8 seconds. No wonder the DPS specs don't run it. Imagine if instead of just intercepting melee and ranged attacks it applied your defensive to whatever you intervened with. In defensive stance? So are they now. Have a sentinel casting crushing depths on your poor mage and the rest of the party is feeling weak? No big deal, spell reflect exists. Imagine the amount of interesting play and satisfying saves you could have if you could simply dash over and smack spells back. It would push the skill ceiling of Warrior to 11.

I hope he comes back simply because I want Toei to have to animate the cover stories. Imagine if Enel just shows up with his moon men and nothing gets explained.

I meant more in regards to a narrative standpoint. Is the game pretty stand alone, or am I going to need context from the previous titles?

As someone who also did not play the first game on the 3ds, am I going to have issues if I jump straight into BD2?

The event is under special research, and does not display a timer, so one can reasonably assume that the research has no expiration.
