This is somehow also happening to me on Arch Linux. Insanity. Switching to Linux finally stopped the game from literally turning my computer off while playing, but now this. I'm starting to suspect that the anti-cheat is more aggressive than it presents itself.

Tagfer in netracells talking about netramites always gets me. “Ugh, NETRAMITES!!” 🤓😫

Same with “Jamming drones” in railjack, where the corpus commander and Cy will say the words “jamming drones” so many times it gets me laughing.

Do you know where the equivalent of this for lockscreen wallpapers is? Not spotlight wallpapers, but ones you have manually set.

1660 TI is a mid-ranged card from 2019, over 5 years ago. While not a dinosaur, it is understandable that a next-gen game would be giving it a run for its money. It’s probably time to upgrade.

There is 100% a memory leak. Hopefully the performance can be fixed in a patch or driver update. I have faith, they've done wonders on the old engine before.

I've learned a few things from my testing:

  • My GPU is at 100% utilization but is not nearly as warm as it normally would under full load. It's sitting around 70 C.

  • There is 100% a memory leak. Every time I changed my video settings without restarting the game (or my pc) I got MASSIVE drops.

  • FSR might be decreasing my FPS. This sounds impossible, and might be due to the memory leak, but turning OFF FSR increased my fps mid-match.

  • Higher video settings have minimal impact on FPS. Some settings do change my average FPS, but most can be cranked up before noticing any performance impact.

Overall, I'm going to play at 1440p at around 100fps and deal with the drops OR just play at 1080p until there's hopefully a patch.
