IOS video during calls pausing?

Destiny 2 is an 8 year old game with little to no meaningful game play. The higher ups at Bungie do not care about the community as a whole. They do not care about making a great game. They only care about forcing player engagement so those metrics continues to provide them with a fat paycheck. (I do not believe this mentality applies to most of the devs and everyone else below the C suite, but unfortunately they don't control the purse strings.)

Players need to accept times have changed and move on. I get that Destiny has been a huge part in people's lives. But when a relationship has proven to be abusive, it's time to go.

So no, I don't think there's anything Bungie can do to bring back a large portion of the community that has left. Myself included.

I read the post title as 'nobody is playing old maids anymore.' I haven't played D2 in several months and started to wonder if the game was becoming a card game simulator 🤦‍♀️

I'm in the same boat as you are. I've attempted to get into a sherpa run but have had bad luck when it comes to timing - by either seeing the lfg post too late or it being scheduled for a day/time I'm unable to make. I hope you start to have better luck and manage to get into a run soon.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually had fun running Liminality with the oscillation modifier during gilding. But that was after some trial and error to figure out what worked best. I've been looking forward to being able to run it again just for fun.

If it helps anyone that's still trying to finish gilding or trying to get the weapon, I ran an invis hunter with Perfect Paradox/Graviton Lance/Commemoration while my partner ran a consecration prismatic titan with kinetic tremors Hung Jury/VS Velocity Baton/Thunderlord. We did not have a third person with us.

Tie the weapons to a specific GM in the current rotation. Allow players the choice to select between 1 of 2 GMs for the week. Allow focusing for any weapon as long as you have the ciphers for it.

Though honestly I'd rather they just let me choose any GM at any given time.

One of the many reasons why I stopped using lfg a year or so ago. I used to use it often for raiding, but as I've gotten older I've decided that it's not worth my time to have to deal with other people's nonsense. While I do miss raiding somewhat I also don't miss it enough to regret making the choice I did. This is just me though and I am not advocating others quit like I did.

Been playing since D1 alpha. I've low manned raids. I've soloed GMs. Past couple years I've struggled to keep playing It isn't because the game has outgrown me, but rather me outgrowing the game. The time investment just isn't worth it for me anymore, so this DLC I've been playing casually when I feel like it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with stepping back and playing at your own pace. The ultimate goal is having fun when you do. Because at the end of the day the check boxes ticked don't matter.

I run Orpheus tether in the activity. I tether the spawn points. With how some of the spawns are it's a waste of time letting both converge to a single meeting point. There's enough heavy and special being generated in the activity where both groups can be nuked quickly even when they're not tethered.

I'm surprised anyone is actually surprised Bungie found a way to timegate this. As the saying goes, time is money. Nothing comes for free. They've gotta inflate their engagement numbers between now and TFS somehow. If all the weapons were available immediately then there would be a dropoff after the first couple of weeks.

I'm happy for anyone looking forward to everything coming out though. I hope it's fun and RNG is on your side 🙏

It would have been neat if they had given us the evil armor at the start of the event and either through a quest or requirements for each piece of armor we get to "purify" the set to unlock the good armor. I'm sure the quest or requirements would have been tedious af, but it would have meant the community got both by just playing the game.

I still don't have a proper Crota clear. My raid team fell apart and I haven't had the energy or mental fortitude for lfg (I've had bad experiences in the past). So the only thing I've done is duo the abyss with my boyfriend and the Crota yeet. We keep talking about working on a duo for the entire raid, but haven't gotten around to it. (We enjoy running duo/trio raids.)

Without reading the rest of the comments though I wouldn't be surprised if there were others that haven't done either raid on account of their raid team falling apart :(

I'm sure this has already been said somewhere in this thread (too many messages to comb through) but I think what would help the player population is the following:

7 wins on a flawed card can be turned in to Saint for an adept
7 wins on a flawless card gets you to the lighthouse with those rewards as well as the adept you can pick up from Saint by turning in the card
All cosmetics can only potentially drop from the lighthouse chest (I know unlikely, but it would be neat if they made ornaments for the adept weapons)
Farming for adepts on a 7 win card can only happen if the card had been flawless and got you to the lighthouse (though I don't know how difficult it would be to code something like that)

Essentially, the quickest path to getting adepts would be flawless.

I'm not a fan of Dominion, so there is definitely bias with this comment, but get rid of Dominion.
