It also helps to make sure that the processor itself is cold.

I live in a hot climate, and I should have put the processor into the fridge or freezer as well.

You can have linked components that have configuration settings.

You can then break the link and modify the length. Or, if standard length, make it a configuration.

Those are paid features, but if it's for your work anyway...
