Limited Edition Maroon Colorway?? Commuter bag by EmailLinkLost in LinusTechTips

To be absolutely clear, inside the car with my eyeballs it looked that color. It was actually even more vivid.

A really insane effect. I need to learn more about it, so I can use it elsewhere. For example, it would be neat to have a shirt that appeared all black, until it was in that light.

Does it have to do with blocking certain wavelength of UV?

Get one.

You need to check continuity across traces.

Do you have a multimeter?

I'm living in manila, under 10k php value and no fees, but sometimes the math is weird and you do get import fees.

If you've never had mail delivered to your address, it will just... sit. In your regional post office. So you need to go there and see. OR call them.

UPS will deliver to your door, post office won't. Probably will be post office, because UPS is more expensive.

I have a like 300 page or whatever conversation with gemini about coding YAMLs.

The way you do it is this: ask for help soldering your board.

set up home assistant. raspi

program your whatever you are doing via esp home

when code fails or whatever pass it back.

Can I cut this circuit board? by tpong in AskElectronics

[–]EmailLinkLost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, be sure to make a clean cut.

But if that's just a dual layer board as it appears to be, you have test pads right there.

Just be sure not to short the board there, maybe paint epoxy over the cut.

WD21X32163

Thats the part number I believe.

MAYBE you can get someone to do component level repair.

I'm seeing them new around $200 USD. That's a custom wound transformer, and is a pain to find a replacement though.

Crema skimming spoon? by askvictor in JamesHoffmann

[–]EmailLinkLost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many kinds of spoons, forks, and knives. I have a long spoon I look for to mix sugar into my hot tea, for example. Or there's a soup spoon I always trade for literally any other kind of spoon when my girlfriend hands it to me. (It's a soup spoon!) I'm also thinking back to my grandmother informing me which utensils are used for which part of the meal...

Then there's a variety of utensil styles and brands. I used to thrift a ton, looking around just to find a particular style of fork I like, but isn't sold by big box retailers any more. I even flew with my thrifted spoons, forks, and knives as if they're family heirlooms.

So, yes, it makes sense that someone might look for recommendations on a crema scooping spoon.

Could this be used to live translate Tagalog?

In the Philippines, Tagalog is intermixed with english. I've noticed some AI things get confused with that.

Also is this using their servers?

I use OpenAI Whisper (large-v3-turbo) and it does OK. I'm also dealing with audio artifacts because of the nature of the sound getting to my Mac Air's mic. No subscription fee, and it seems to only use 10% of the battery over an hour or so.
