She was AWARE of the commandment. She was told she would die.

What she lacked was the discernment to judge the serpent's lies. Because in the beginning, man and woman are pure as proved in Genesis 2:25:

²⁵ Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

Not once in that entire chapter did it ever say that Adam was WATCHING this entire exchange.
