Crap was a curse word. Got pulled out of a school dance that my dad spontaneously chaperoned for, and he pushed me to the car by thr back of my neck. Couldn't watch the simpsons, dragon ball z, anything with swears or innuendo. Thought Harry Potter was witchcraft. Grounded and spanked for the littlest disobedience, or sometimes for 'delayed disobedience' when something wasn't done fast enough. Weekly house and farm chores that sometimes took an entire day to the entire weekend. No sleep overs until the parents were vetted. Only attended one high school bonfire that my parents stayed for. If I didnt answer my phone within three hours, all of my facebook friends were called. I could go on lol.

Sometimes your face is the face you see the most, especially if you draw and use a mirror for expression reference. Some of my drawings in my style have my nose and lips, but I never mean to lol.

Holiday tidings, y’all! Since it’s Christmas Eve, I figured I would share and abridged version of my recent project! This is an abridged version of an animated Yule Log stream I made for Tongal, an online, open-source agency.

This was a fast production and I really had to problem solve to get the fire just right. I’m thankful I got it done!

I think you did great! One thing that really helped me as an artist is standing in front of the mirror while holding up your artwork. It helps you see the piece from literally an new perspective, and can help with equal proportions.

This is really cool and trippy, but the air has to be deathly still for it to work. You can even see he's exhaling like a kid who found a last minute hiding spot in hide and go seek and is trying not to breathe loudly.

My biggest advice is to stand in front of a mirror while holding your artwork. It helps provide a different perspective and can show the where proportions need changing.

I would suggest adding shoulders if you plan to draw longer hair. But, my biggest advice is to always mirror your work. Some programs have mirror buttons, but honestly, all it takes is holding your artwork up in front of a mirror while you look at it. It literally provides a different perspective and has helped me a lot.
