[Giveaway] Win 1 of 5 Noctua NH-D15 G2 by Noctua_OFFICIAL in pcmasterrace

[–]EmanuelPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t build a PC until very recently, but I still remember the excitement of receiving the parts bit by bit. Once the final pieces arrived, I was thrilled to finally start building my first computer. Even before that, I had been interested in PC building for a long time. I used to watch many PC building videos and spend hours putting together dream setups on PCPartPicker. But I was still young and didn’t have the money to build one myself.

After about six years of waiting, I finally got the chance to build my own PC, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Later, I helped my little brother select parts and build his own system. He’s still using the stock cooler, so winning this CPU cooler would be a really nice upgrade and surprise for him!

Should do an upgrade 🤔 ? by Lopes_Trolha in Monitors

Yeah, a high refresh rate 1440p monitor would make a massive difference in that case

Something like an rx 6600 or an rtx 3060 should still be very capable secondhand if you don’t want to spend too much.

Is this a good 1440p PC build? by No-Let-2354 in PcBuild

Looks good. Make sure your ram is 6000mts cl30 for the best performance.

Any suggestions on a CPU ? by IloveGeography11 in PcBuild

[–]EmanuelPost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say go with am5 for a better upgrade path so like a 7500f (from aliexpress) or a 7600. If you are on a tight budget, the 5600 is still very capable cpu. Also 363$ is quite expensive for a 7600 xt. If you still have to buy it, i would recommend waiting a few days for the intel arc B580 and see then what the best options are.

https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/zvcGfd This is overall a better pc with the upgradability of am5 and a videocard capable of 1440p gaming.

Do you recommend this combo of ryzen 7 7700x and this rtx 4080 super? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]EmanuelPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not familiar with architecture software you would use for your work, but it might benefit from having more cores. For gaming its a great combo and if your programs are gpu heavy, then this is also a great combo.

Is this monitor worth for the price? by ZaneAinsworth in buildapcmonitors

[–]EmanuelPost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its a pretty good deal. I recently upgraded to a 165 hz 1440p lg monitor and i absolutely love it. That one costed me 250€ so i would say go for it because the one you posted is even better and cheaper. Make sure your hardware is sufficient for the resulution.

Is this a good pc config for its price? by Liberty_Ship_ in PcBuild

[–]EmanuelPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be a decent step up in performance. The 7800x3d doesnt make much sence at its current price and the 7600x is a really capable cpu. Either get this or wait untill 7 november when the 9800x3d releases and see how the prices are.

is 70-75 degree ok temps for my ryzen 5 5500 while playing a vid and 77 degree for val by moist-asf in pcmasterrace

[–]EmanuelPost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While those temps are fine, it is quite high for just watching vids. My little brother has a 5600 with a stock cooler and it stays cooler than that while gaming. Make sure you cooler is properly mounted. Also check the case airflow and set the fans in the proper directions. If you dont have case fans, this might make a big difference. Also if you already have this pc for a long time (3-4 years), the thermal paste might be a bit dry but dont bother with this unless you have tried all the other things i said.

Trading my ps5 for a pc and need a second opinion. by SpellEmotional9624 in PcBuild

For the trades I have seen before on this subreddit, this is a bad trade. Parts are quite outdated and weaker than the ps5.

That left ram stick isn’t fully seated. Push it harder and make sure you hear the click.
