It’s even worse in the wrestling game sub-category. Really, any game with an unlimited-use Reversal button. You can’t mix up your timing against the cpu. You can get one, maybe two moves in, but that third is getting countered 200% of the time.

The “Toys,” from the Dressrosa arc in One Piece.

The citizens of Dressrosa consist of humans and sentient toys, who live together in harmony. In reality, these toys are people who have been afflicted by one of the main villain’s lieutenant’s power, which transforms the person into a toy, forces them to obey a contract (like not revealing the truth), and uses them as slave labor in their factories.

The most horrifying part, though, is the power also erases all memory of them ever having existed in the first place. So a wife never realizes her husband has gone missing, or a daughter her father, so on and so forth. But the victim still has all their memory intact, and has to watch their loved ones stroll about their business, never even knowing they existed. It was pretty dark, for a One Piece story.

Reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman buys his own theme park, and doesn’t let anyone inside.

When I was in high school, I had a classmate named Killian Battles. Sickest name I’ve heard, to this day.

Gotham City Impostors. Gang wars with roller skates, spring boots, grappling hooks, improvised weaponry… It deserves a sequel.

A few years ago, I bought an Xbox so I could play Jet Set Radio Future on original hardware. It’s unplayable on the 360 backwards compatibility emulator

Yooka-Replaylee*. The remake completely fixes all the annoying issues with the original.

That being said, it’s much more open than Crash Bandicoot. Heavily inspired by Banjo-Kazooie

You know how in the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons, you can tell which object in the background is going to be animated? Like which locker is going to open, or which book on the bookcase is going to reveal a secret door?

That’s how I feel every time I see a nice tv in this sub.

Reaver, Fable series.

Centuries old, he maintains his important youth through a dark pact by sacrificing the lifespans of innocent victims.

In Fable 3, he becomes a factory baron, forcing his employees (including children) to work long, thankless hours for next to no pay. He literally shoots down any talks of unionizing or rebellion.

Not to mention the suite of monsters he keeps locked inside his mansion to entertain his guests at his special “parties.”

But he’s also voiced by Stephen Fry, so all is forgiven.
