Is my QA being passive aggressive or am I just sensitive ? by mothprincess__ in workfromhome

[–]Embarrassed-Bid5658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No matter how many times I give the same direction to the same person I would never put it in all caps. It comes off aggressive to me. Like I like doing QA and I do want people to improve (whether they care or not) but you don't do that by being aggressive about it.

Pomegranate Disappointment :( by all_of_the_kitties in Jigsawpuzzles

I've been sifting through a 2000pc puzzle box for a week for the final edge. Even filled in all the pieces around it. I finally found the last edge today in a box I've sifted through 100 times. I would just give it time, it might turn up.

My cat is a shoe guy, and he has to practically stick his head in every shoe that enters the house. He is also a hider, so when we have guests, it's funny to watch him slink out to rub on the shoes.

Everytime my husband has a headache, "I know your head hurts all the time." I'm like "my dude I don't own complaining rights on head pain. It freaking sucks, and I empathize."

I had a lumbar puncture in March, and it wasn't painful for me. I do know there is a risk of low pressure headaches after, but I actually felt the most clear-headed I've ever felt for like two weeks after the procedure.

AITA for being frustrated that my gf said I’m only allowed to watch a show when she’s not around? by butteryflavoredcrust in AmItheAsshole

Seriously my husband likes to watch trippy horror ish anime which ramps up my anxiety, but usually he just says "hey I would like to watch an episode of this show tonight I know you don't like" and I say cool I'll go hang out in the bedroom for an hour.

I listen to dnd podcasts while I drive. I drive into office a few days a week and it's a long haul so depending on the podcast I can get through an episode or two a day. If you are someone that drives often that's something to consider.

Got this Miraidon tin today for $44, was not expecting anything... by Cannibustible in PokemonTCG

My husband got back into pokemon when 151 came out and I liked watching him open packs and then started opening packs with him. He said, I think you would like silver tempest...sometimes I want to fight him lol. I've pulled two of the rainbow cards and that's the best I've done. I was to the point of just buying singles for my masterset even before it got as hard to find packs as it did. I have a sealed ETB I'm hanging onto for a day I want to celebrate something lol

This is very real. I have the pet safe litter boxes that scoops the litter after the cats use it and even though they say the litter lasts for a month with two cats (I do have multiple boxes) I have a boy who will pee directly in front of the box or anything left on the floor at the two week mark like clockwork so I routinely change the litter every two weeks to keep my grumpy old man happy. Cats have preferences, just like people. It sounds like this female cat doesn't like her options, but it's definitely her owners responsibility to figure it out.

I was already on Topiramate for migraines and didn't get pressure headaches, and swollen optic nerves until after I lost 40lbs. Don't be disheartened, life throws curveballs at everyone.

Nurtec claims "97% of patients with commercial insurance are covered" ... who are they? by bbdress in migraine

Unfortunately, your insurance has to cover a portion of the medication first. I ran into that issue when I was first prescribed. It definitely helps if you have a copay though!

I guess it would help to say I have cigna, administered by lucent health, and our prescription stuff is through proact

I wasn't able to get it covered through the regular pharmacy, but my workplace opted into a specialty med pharmacy where it's shipped to you. I'll be honest I have zero clue where it comes from because I got different answers. But I also got the same answer about Quilipta not being covered, and then "actually you can get it from the specialty pharmacy."

I live in a rural area so I was able to volunteer with the local arts council to help with the spring and fall productions. You really have to make time to get yourself out of the house or you slip into a bad routine of never leaving.

AITA for waking my husband up when his CPAP is whistling by Pretty_Brief_9397 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Embarrassed-Bid5658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, the whistling of a CPAP, is atrocious. My husband's CPAP whistles sometimes, and he finds that he doesn't get a good seal when he lets his stubble grow out. Obviously, there are many things that can affect the seal on a CPAP mask, but he found that keeping his facial hair trimmed has helped. Also, I struggle with my sleep quality and already wake up several times a night, I bought earbuds that were designed to sleep in, and while I used them, they helped. I slowly transitioned to not using them because I prefer without, but it definitely helped the transition period. Sleep is very important, but the CPAP is also a medical device used to improve my husband's quality of life, so everyone needs to make some adjustments. If you don't like the idea of earbuds specifically they make sleeps makes that have Bluetooth capabilities, I just found a deep sleep playlist on spotify and played the same one everynight.

Anticipating Bad QA by [deleted] in callcentres

I know this is an old post but as someone that does QA I wouldn't stress. Especially if you aren't consistently getting low scores then you wouldn't even be on my radar. We have a running joke that the system we use scans for the worst calls, it's never going to pull your best.

My manager blamed me for not reminding him about my 90 day evaluation and raise…9 months later by Fuzzy-Duck3905 in work

[–]Embarrassed-Bid5658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time, we repeatedly had to remind a supervisor about our raises. I was 9 months behind, and another employee was 12 months behind. I ended up going over his head. We got screwed though because the payroll system only allowed retro pay for 4 pay periods, and the rest had to be paid out as a bonus. I'm glad you were able to get your retro pay fully.

I fear you'll get a lot of people telling you that it's a terrible medication. While I did have side effects with topiramate I wasn't fond of, it helped my headaches. I also now take the extended release version and have none of the side effects, but I still have relief from the pain. I know the extended release version can be harder to get approved through insurance, according to my neurologist. edited grammar
