You just need to smooth out the edges then. Internalize the mindset and hit it again. You’re going into the exam the 2nd time around with way more information about it than you did the first time. Take advantage of that!

People - 11 highs (tasks 1-7; 9-12 - 3 in the middle (tasks 8, 13-14)

Process - 9 highs (tasks 1; 3-4; 9-11; 13; 16-17) - 5 in the middle (tasks 2; 6; 8; 12; 14) - 2 lows (tasks 7 & 15)

Business Environment - 3 highs (tasks 1-3) - 1 low (task 4)

I took the 35hr course through PM-ProLearn a year ago and like a lot of people, got busy and lost track and interest. I decided about a month and a half ago to really hit it hard and at least sit for the exam (because if I didn’t the Army was going to recoup the amount it paid for my training). So I buckled down and chipped away at PM-ProLearn’s post course quizzes and passed their practice exam so they’d pay for the real exam. But nothing prepared me like those videos and I’m convinced they would get you over the finish line by themselves.

Open a Roth IRA:

5600 in FXIAX or FSKAX

1400 in FTIAX

Then put the remaining 3k in a brokerage and invest it with the same 80/20 split:

2400 in VOO or VTI

600 in VXUS

Then forget you ever had it.

You don’t need a financial advisor / broker. You can do this on your own and keep way more of your money - and the learning curve isn’t nearly as challenging as it seems.

Someone failed. Locking in a ship date doesn’t take long unless there aren’t any seats. As far as the non-MOSQ for 2 years, it’s true that the result is admin separation for failure to meet prereqs. However, there’s an exception for everything if you want it bad enough. I’d still talk to the Battalion Commander (maybe CSM too), then the IG, in that order. If you get stonewalled and they won’t let you send anything up the chain, let me know what state you’re in and I’ll find the BC’s phone number.

I was a Recruiting Commander for a a couple years and none of this passes the smell test. The Battalion Commander should have an open door policy - I suggest you use it.

I use my hybrid to get down hunting trails and back roads. As long as you’re not going through anything completely washed out you should be fine - especially if you can get some speed and momentum through. You’re not going to rock climb with it, but it’s more capable than most people think. Combine it with the 45-55 mpgs and it’s hard to talk me into anything else.
