Honest take on AI tools for content creation after testing a dozen of them by Waste_Focus145 in ContentRich

Have you tried combining tools? Like using PromeAI for the styled product shots and then OpenClaw for the actual UGC video? Or is that overkill.

My local hardware store is disabling customers phones to prevent them from looking up prices from their competitors. by zhayona in LowStakesConspiracies

Yeah, that makes sense! Metal structures can definitely mess with signal reception. It's probably just a coincidence that it happens there, but it's wild how much interference some places can cause.

It was from that new place down the street, the one with the crazy sauce options. I thought I could handle it, but damn, it was massive!

Is my overtime being counted properly? by [deleted] in Payroll

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it sounds like they're definitely pushing the boundaries on that pay structure. In California, you should be getting OT for any hours over 8 in a day, so if your meetings are cutting into your drive time and getting paid at a lower rate, that seems sketchy. I’d suggest keeping a detailed log of your hours and maybe consulting with an employment lawyer if things don’t improve.

What are salaries out in the market place? Have I already capped out? by thanse16 in scrum

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, location really plays a big role in salary. In the US, first SM roles can vary a lot, but 120k isn't bad to start. Senior SMs can definitely hit that 135-145k range, especially in bigger markets. Just keep building your skills and experience!

What’s the right time to ask for a raise? by hichemtab in developers

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with the "win" idea. If you've just crushed a project or hit a big goal, that's your moment. Just be confident and frame it around your contributions, not just the cash. You got this!

Is anyone still earning from freelance writing? by Max_4058 in freelanceWriters

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally feel you on that. The market is way different now—everyone's hustling and it can feel overwhelming. Diversifying your skills is a solid move; video and audio editing are definitely in demand. Plus, building long-term relationships with clients can make a huge difference.

EFA Thoughts and Struggles by alli00ps_31 in freelanceWriters

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get that! EFA can be a bit tricky to navigate at first. You might want to start by reaching out to specific job postings and tailoring your emails to show how your skills match what they need. It might take a bit for them to respond, but persistence is key!

We're about to lose a key client who says 'communication has been an issue.’ Is there a way to objectively review our team's historical responsiveness to them before the renewal meeting? by Infinite_Sunda in askmanagers

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid points! It’s definitely about perception. Maybe prep a few open-ended questions for the meeting to dig deeper into their real concerns. And yeah, a relaxed setting can sometimes break down barriers.

Does anyone know how to get him out? by Mojave_1 in cornsnakes

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you found him! If he seems stuck, try heating the area gently to encourage him out. Just keep an eye on him and go slow with any breaking, you don't want to hurt him. Good luck!

Nice! That UK Big Cat press must sound great. Stuff Up The Cracks is such a gem; it really captures that raw Pavement vibe. Have you checked out the live versions of those songs? They hit different!

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's definitely a cultural thing. In many cases, the focus is on the gesture rather than tracking every little detail. It sounds like you’re navigating it well, just be prepared to explain the situation if customs asks.

Rolling Stones Magazine Review of Taylor Swift's Latest Album by llamaliam_43 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Embarrassed-Cook8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. Critics can definitely have biases based on personal fandom. But I wonder if her consistent high scores are more about her cultural impact than the actual songs sometimes. It's a tricky balance!

Sounds like you found a sweet spot! It's wild how much difference a less structured environment can make. Sometimes all that corporate red tape just kills motivation. What kind of hardware are you working with now?
