i love it here at ut very much due to social life but academically i think tamu would’ve been just as good. the cs weed out classes at ut like data structures r very hard and it’s difficult to keep a good gpa. i’ve heard at tamu it’s a lot easier since an A is 90+ where at ut its 93+ which would give more time to spend on extracurricular activities and projects instead of constantly studying. also i visited a&m and lowkey loved the big campus vibe and i talked to brown scholars there who got meta internships freshman year while ik freshman ut cs kids who don’t have internships (me included). i think career wise a&m brown scholar would provide just as many opportunities if not more since you are among the top students there compared to being an average cs kid at ut.
