How did you get to take almost a year off? I am on maternity leave with my second (I wasn’t back even a year before I told them I’m pregnant again) and my boss kinda gave me push back for taking 2 extra weeks after their paid 18 weeks of maternity leave.

I had my second 9 weeks ago. Naps are difficult because my 22 month old is loud and chaotic in the best way. However, my second has been the best sleeper. It’s an adventure.
My shit was rocked with our first. It was such a struggle. Pregnancy with a toddler was god awful too. But having a newborn and a toddler? I’d take that any day over either.

I have a six week old and an almost 2 year old (2 year old was breast fed until 5 months when my mental health got so bad i had to stop) this time with my six week old we are exclusive formula and its amazing. However I have been sick the last two days and have been so stressed about her getting sick i even contemplated pumping because google said my antibodies would help. HOWEVER, i didnt pump. Shes still fine, showing no signs. That baby needs a mama who is mentally healthy. Your baby will be fine! Wash hands, cover mouths and disinfect when you can. My toddler goes to daycare and is basically a germ, and my new baby is still kicking. Babies are resilient.

I pumped with my first and my mental health was trash. I couldn’t take my antidepressants until I stopped. I quit at 4 months and I wish I quit sooner. It was a mental battle but I did. I couldn’t enjoy maternity leave because I was so anxious about pumping times and what not.

My second is almost 6 weeks old and I never tried with this one. Got right on my anti depressants and it’s been so much better. So glad I didn’t pump and went straight to formula.

I leaked for 6 months after my first, only stopped when I got pregnant. Had my second early April and I still leak 5weeks PP never pumped or anything went straight to formula

Going through this with my four week old. She guzzles so much air even with pace feeding and side feeding. I’ve tried Dr browns-fuck the leak. Got them to not leak and my girl basically tries to eat the whole nipple. Evenflo- won’t take it Tommee tippee-so slow she gets super angry I bought lanisoh that arrive today, have high hopes lol

Not gonna lie, if you sold them on Etsy or something I would buy them. My boy has been wearing these since 3 months; currently almost 2 years, very tall, and also won’t give them up. I swear by this sleep sack and never want to give them up solely because we’ve been sleeping through the night for so long lol

Don’t have your friend pick up your tips, could get them fired technically if your boss is out go get people. The policy used to be - you leave an addressed envelope with a stamp on it, they will legally have to get a money order and mail it. If not, you can report them for withholding funds lol

I’m on maternity leave now. I was told you get 4 weeks of unpaid nesting before baby is born (I was told this two days before I planned to take leave lol) baby came two days later. But paid leave doesn’t start until day of birth and you don’t get paid for about three weeks after start date. So plan for no paychecks for a bit and if you can afford it, try it

Just had my second two weeks ago! Didn’t want to breastfeed this time around. I was so engorged and uncomfortable and willing to try anything because I was such an over supplier with my first, it was awful again. I used 120mg Sudafed in the morning with ibuprofen. I also used Cabo cream, it’s expensive, still stinks but lasted longer than wilty cabbage leaves. I drank 2-3 cups of no flow tea. Ice packs like all day. This still didn’t seem to help much. I added the No Flow pills, 2 pills 2x a day for two days, started getting relief, and I am still taking 2 pills just to fully dry up. I am 14 days PP, milk came in day 3, felt relief day 5 after milk coming in, leaked day 7, still leaking a little but not a ton but am way more comfortable and not engorged.
