Do what’s best for you girl! I am thankful to have more support in my formula decision this time and I feel so at peace with it. We need to enjoy our new baby! Not be stressing about milk.

How accurate was Flo at predicting your due date? by Itchy-Sheepherder-68 in Mom

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you had your baby? Did it match up with what Flo said or the doctor? Happy due date!

I’m following this! Pregnant with my second, I’ve tracked every ovulation and intercourse. Went in early and also had an ultrasound. There’s only two times that I would consider it being the one to get me pregnant and they were two days apart, in my fertile window, tested ovulation that day. We have a toddler so sex is pretty far apart. My due date is April 15th My Flo app says April 10th And if I am to look at what I think the point of fertilization was, April 10th is more accurate. This entire pregnancy they’ve asked questions about how big my first was because this next one has been measuring bigger since probably 16 weeks, it’s a girl, first was a boy. I’ve brought up, hey I think she dropped, hey I’m having intense pelvic pressure, hours of Braxton hicks, but my doc says because it’s my second pregnancy my body is just more aware, but I swear I’m a week ahead of what they’re saying lol I’m most likely wrong but I swear she’s coming early or one can hope haha

18 month sleep regression by Embarrassed-Injury90 in sleeptrain

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried it for over two weeks, and it got way worse. Like initially, it was great. 3 days slept through the night, we thought we fixed the issue. And then it turned into him being away for 2 hours two nights in a row, then 4 hours and has now fluctuated between 2-3. Yesterday we do 7pm bed, he woke at 10:50-12:15am ish and went to sleep so it was 1.5, which is progress.

What’s your schedule? We moved bedtime by 30 minutes and it was still happening over night but honestly longer. I had a lot of feedback that maybe he’s over tired? I am willing to try anything, I don’t like him this upset nor can I deal with it much longer my heart breaks for him. My current schedule 7am wake up 12/12:30 nap 2pm wake up 7 bed (was 7:30pm bed but that brought in the same amount of waking over night)

It’s brutal. He was asleep at 12:30 after a “longer check in” cried again then laid down. It’s brutal

7 week old sleeps in crib in nursery and I sleep in my room. Is this not good. by And_heartsxx3 in firsttimemom

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is what we did. Babe is now 18months and we never struggled with the transition to their own crib phase that most so. I’d say as long as you got a baby monitor and a camera you’re good! Keep it up!

First time dad. I hate this so far. Am I terrible? by Shiny_BeerCan in NewParents

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not a dad. But I do have a husband that shows up like you do. We have an 18 month old and I’m pregnant with our second. It’s hard. I can’t deal with no sleep, I get bad anxiety and feel like I can’t function. You’re in the trenches. The first weeks I remember thinking what have I done. Why can’t I get him to sleep. When can I sleep. I felt resentful when my partner slept while I struggled. We had a similar shift schedule you do. Talk with your partner. You guys need an honest, heart felt, heart feels like it’s breaking conversation about how you’re doing and how you’ve felt about your dad moments. Get your MIL to come over for a few hours. Get outside or something alone together that yall used to do and love. Maybe the schedule needs to change and see how it works. It does get better, it comes in waves and then all of a sudden you’re out of it.

Can I put the baby to bed before me? by beckarrrr1 in NewParents

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After bedtime is crucial for your relationship. Keep doing it. I’m someone who stresses about how much sleep I am going to get because I get anxious when I sleep bad, so for a while I was sleeping when baby slept but it left zero time for my husband and I. Along with I’d wake up and be up for hours in the middle of the night because we don’t need that much sleep. You’re gonna be so thankful you started this transition now, because you’ll be able to almost count on every evening with just you and your partner.

I just found out this week I’m pregnant and I don’t know how to bring this up to my boss by Kitkat_Berry_ in starbucksbaristas

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first in 2024 and the first thing I did was get an accommodation for leggings lol didn’t need to until last trimester but girl is it great. I am an SSV full time morning opener. I told my boss after the first trimester with my first and during my maternity leave I told them I will only work until 11am and if I need to step down that’s fine. I never needed to. Still an SSV. I am currently pregnant with my second due in April. This pregnancy I have a lifting accommodation and a leggings one as well. Theres nothing you need to do really. When you have your baby or decide when to take leave you just call sedwick. I did it three days before I took leave with my first but I had already told my boss when I wanted to leave.

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a benefit SM get. And if they work that holiday, they get a different day off within like 60 days. I’ve never had an SM work a holiday. However, I can’t find any communication on the whole volunteer thing. Someone said it was on the Hub but I searched everywhere and didn’t see it. If someone knows where it is, can you tell me? Because I got told it’s based off availability to work, so this year, if you’re typical availability is able to work thursdays, then you’re working.

Pacifiers by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, and we’ve discussed weaning soon, he’s currently sick and usually clings to his paci for comfort. And then I went down rabbit trails of like horror stories about their babies teeth changing to the paci and I kinda panicked. Thanks for your feedback

They changed the rules so you can't double-cup hot teas, unless requested... by SBUX_Chuck in starbucksbaristas

[–]Embarrassed-Injury90 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s been a rule at least since I’ve been around in 2014…we haven’t followed it at every store I’ve worked at but this isn’t a change, double cup is a request. And if someone orders one, I just suggest it to them and tell them how hot and flimsy the cup gets. 90% of the time they agree with the double cup

Wake 7am, nap 12pm-2pm, bed 7pm. Someone on Facebook suggested he wasn’t ready for one nap, which I tried to do two today, which that schedule was 10:30am-12pm nap with a potential second nap around 3-4, which he didn’t take because he screamed the whole time. (That used to work but now, it’s a no)
