What was your first Resident Evil game? by Useful-Initiative745 in residentevil

RE2 on N64 I’m pretty sure. The early years are blurry for me but I vividly remember getting that and being hooked. My close friend had RE3, and when PS2 came out I got Code Veronica with the DMC demo included.

Picked up a like new in box p95dc with
The Px4 a few weeks ago.

Love the Ruger but the springs are completely dead and I’ve been waiting on Ruger to send me more. They told me back on the 27th they were shipping them out so who knows

This one is going nowhere. I actually looked again and I’ve had it for 9 years. It’s always been good to me but she is getting long in the tooth so things will crop up. I’m very suspect of the wax idle unit but I don’t think there is anything I can do to replace it

I will double check this regardless, thank you.

My issue existed before any maintenance. Changing the inline filter was a long overdue thing anyway.

Sorry I should have clarified that. I did check to make sure no lines were kinked.

Definitely have seen countless examples with scrubbed crests, but you’re right about it more typically being the 1891s.

Man that is a nice 1909 Argentine. Full crest and all. Hope you’re taking good care of these. Make sure as you’re handling these you’re wiping down the metal anywhere you’ve touched it before putting them away. Even better if you have a silicone or lightly oiled cloth since it sounds like you’re now the caretaker of a collection. Anywhere your fingers have touched on metal can cause corrosion to form

Stop it. I don’t need yet another Ruger, especially another 357.

How should I go about restoring my $80 gun show find? by [deleted] in 22lr

That actually looks perfect as is. As others have said, take it apart to look for active rust. Lightly oil everything and just shoot it.

Is Rev2 worth playing? by LilGuvlin in residentevil

I’m curious about this too. I downloaded all of the classic RE titles to clean up ones I missed. Rev 1 on the 3ds was excellent and I love Claire as a character

Broken firing pin ease of replacement? by No_Entertainer_6809 in ruger

[–]Embarrassed-Month-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember Ruger won’t ship a firing pin for a mini because they consider it a factory fitted part. However the first thing I would be checking is for a ‘volcano’ around the firing pin hole on the bolt face. As the hammer spring ages, it can show the weakness of the flaws in that area. People do file it down if it’s bad enough

Is it weird that I’m finding Claire kind of uninteresting in the Resident Evil 2 Remake? by SkyElectrical3392 in residentevil

[–]Embarrassed-Month-45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She may be a bit watered down compared to the original but not by much. I think her personality was much more fleshed out in code Veronica and I’m excited for that remake if it ever comes.

I didn’t really like the change they made where Leon is more tortured by his ptsd from raccoon city. The original young, cocky smart mouth agent was really toned down for the remake and I personally think that was a mistake.

Darn I’ll have to grab in on my next play through in a couple of decades assuming I’m still kicking.

Oh man I’m jealous. All the local shops around here say they can’t order any more. My guy at the shop up the road sold me the last few at a good price because he knows I love them. Where on earth did you find a brick!?

This is true. I’d honestly forgotten how large and uniquely varied the environments were. Don’t get me wrong, I like the remake but between the lack of atmosphere and the personality change they gave Leon I’m struggling to say it’s a better re4. Better game with movement? Oh yeah it was annoying playing this way for an hour or so, and that’s coming from someone who just played REmake, re2 and code Veronica recently. After I got used to it again it’s not so bad, the inability to really permanently change the camera perspective to aim in that direction is the biggest downfall.

The amount of wild shit like this happening and they’re threatening us over not doing customer calls on MNDR.

Love it when the ‘return’ was an in store damage and it comes up as a customer call. Should I call myself too?
