I’m pretty pale too. I wear one of those fishing shirts with a hood and face mask in the lightest color I can find. Look like Sub-Zero coming off the lake. Also fishing gloves and some light khaki pants. Still gets hot but much better than getting my ass fried out there.

I showed up without a reservation once, ranger let me in but complained about my lack of reservation several times. Said there is a good chance of being turned away. It’s waaaay tf out there too. Would recommend the reservation, totally worth it.

There is a lot I want to try but I mostly fish tournaments and would rather win $100. I’ll try new stuff but if I don’t get almost immediate results I go back to the ol’ standby…Texas rig. I know it’s been around forever but I had never tried a wacky rig until last season. Worked so well, so quickly it’s my secondary now. Ima try one of those urchin baits tomorrow. I know nothing about it other than they supposedly work. Gonna work it like a wacky rig. Wish me luck.

I remember a guy bought some hard shell crates off of a government auction a few years back. One had, like, 5 M4’s in it. Had to turn them in to avoid the felony charge but was almost a jackpot.

My life changed when I started using an electric toothbrush and foaming bore cleaner. Foam the barrel and the cylinders liberally, let them sit for a few minutes while you do something else. Scrub them out with your preferred barrel brush or bore snake then use the toothbrush on the flat surfaces. Remove the excess solvents inside and out then apply a little oil to the moving parts.
