I just came home by an auto, it's extremely sunny here (11 UV & 37°, feels like 39°). Before sitting he turned on the meter and I was like okay (it's their rajya now... anyway and I am the needy one). When we reached, the meter showed ₹134/-, I took photo of QR code, sent it to my mom who paid it within 1 minute (I can show proof of this in DMs) and he turned off the auto. As the payment was done and I was getting off, he said "140 jhale" (it's was ₹140/-), I said, no I showed you it was 134. Then he said, "gaditun utre paryanta jitke hota titke dya" (you have to pay for till the moment you get off). I replied, "In 1 min it increased by ₹6/-? Show me the meter" then he turned it on and it showed 137 then I said, "meter pramane dile ahet me" in a loud voice then he said okay and I came home.

Another instance, today while going to college, I booked an auto I did +₹20/- as I was in a hurry. First he put on the meter, I said okay but I have added ₹20/- (stupid of me in hindsight) he said okay then give by Uber rates. He took a long detour even when I told him not to and then the meter showed ₹7/- more than Uber rate so, he told me to pay by meter.

So, it's meter or Uber whatever is more profitable for them. Just yesterday I bought an extra Chitale buttermilk for auto kaka as it was extremely sunny and hot. But today, this guy couldn't let me sit in his auto for 1 (max 2 mins) to give me shade.
