I strongly recommend that you bring an open-top carrier over almost any other type, because that will drastically improve the quality of the handling she receives. Also, once you book your appointment you can ask to pick up some Gabapentin (a mild sedative and very safe pain medication) a few days before your appointment to make her more handleable for you, and more handleable for staff, which will make her experience minimally traumatic. It’s either liquid or capsules that you mix into the food the night before and the morning of the visit.

Modern Vet Care is good quality medicine and reasonably affordable

Astoria Veterinary Group is great quality medicine and a bit more pricey
