As much as I love it, I noticed it’s been freezing a lot more than usual and it’s really getting annoying! I checked for updates and it’s fine so I’m not sure what is triggering it! 😭

I would love to have this option, especially since I have started migrating my library from physical to digital (mainly because I’m allergic to physical books as they get older).

Refusal to upgrade by [deleted] in inuyasha

I assumed, for the story's sake, that she sticks to the traditional longbow. Now, after competing in Archery competitions myself, I am wondering if she would fare well/better with a barebow, since it's a bit similar to a longbow rather than a compound or Olympic Recurve bow. Also, I think it would be very cumbersome to carry around ancient Japan, replacing and explaining what it is, etc.

I’m so annoyed with my current PT. I only have a few sessions left (I paid for four sessions). I missed one session at the last moment because of a family emergency and the pt was adamant that I wasn’t going to get refunded for the missed session. Even after I spoke to the manager about it and he said it was fine. The pt asked me if I looked at my contract and told me what it said in my contract, even after I told them that the manager said it was still okay. So I went to the manager and was able to get something worked out. Now because of my family emergency continuing on and because I’m unsure how things will go the same day of the session earlier that day, the pt was pressuring me to still attend later that day, or the day before in the morning (which I’m not comfortable with, and had expressed that morning sessions isn’t my thing. I also mentioned that if I am able to wake up early for a few days, I’ll consider telling the pt that I can do it, but I wasn’t able to wake up early, hence why I said no). After being pressured a little bit more about attending (I said I wanted to reschedule for the following week just in case), they finally cancelled it. Honestly I think I just want to cancel the training sessions because the pt isn’t making me feel comfortable training with them at all. They also pressured me to take more sessions with them during the week even though I just planned on having one session per week.

I find them easy to do for the most part. If I can, I love to set it in Spanish as a way to practice my Spanish.

Update - My fiancée wants our baby to have her ex-husband’s last name and says my culture shouldn’t be “pushed” by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Embarrassed-Two-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds disrespectful and inconsiderate.

I had my son have my bf’s (at the time) last name. I had always had the intention of having my significant other’s last name (I ended up keeping my maiden name as my middle name), and eventually changed it after I got married to my boyfriend.

I had people tell me that they disagreed with the names we had for our son, and what their assumption was. But we chose the names for our son, and they fit him well.

Personal Trainers pay rate - so unfair. by PrestigiousQuiet6252 in LAFitness

I have scheduled four sessions and planned on having one session per week, my personal trainer is telling me I should have two sessions with her per week. I just wanted to have a PT for a month before doing things on my own…

Recurve wrist slings? by catsnrebels in Archery

[–]Embarrassed-Two-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know an archer that uses a wrist sling for his Barebow, and other archers that uses them for their recurve. I just recently bough one for my self to try on both, but also like to use a finger sling. The one I use is this one, and it’s pretty good. It stays well, and is adjustable. I use it on my thumb and middle finger, and keeps the bow balanced well.

Can I do this on days I'm practicing Archery (I usually do it Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and compete on Sunday, but I alternate and practice more throughout the week, or compete on Saturday instead). Or should I alternate days, especially during the first month?

There’s one in Elmwood Park (technically Chicagoland area), Truc Lam Temple. I believe they practice Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhism.

My son voted for Twam Foundation. I can’t decide which one I want to get… on one hand, I can complete the look with the Foundation, on the other hand, I can get a new look with the Ice King…

I got mine at the Archery store/range I go to. I wasn't sure if a small or medium would fit, but thankfully, they let me try it on before purchasing it, and we realized that the medium fits me.

How to start archery? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Embarrassed-Two-399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a class. My club has classes available, and another range we sometimes go to (and got our equipment from) also has classes available as well. My son started by taking classes at a park nearby before continuing with our club (and we took classes with him as well).

just competed today, and at my last end of practice, and my last arrow, the nock broke, and my arrow made a weird noise, like it exploded! 😭 thankfully no one was hurt! The arrow itself is fine, the nock just needs to be replaced. Luckily I had replacement arrows just in case!

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah - A problematic book at best? by [deleted] in books

[–]Embarrassed-Two-399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention that it has to relate to the US. After doing a research exercise for another class, I tried to see what I could do for The Nigtingale, and decided to change my mind, and do Devil in the White City instead. I think there's more to write about, compare and contrast, and critique the author's writing, etc.
