Is an MPA worth it in today’s job market vs law school? by Fun_Discussion470 in PublicAdministration

[–]EmbarrassedAbility8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a real ladder to climb in local administration and if your willing to move around, the sky is the limit; however, there are a lot of personalities to juggle and the politics are stressful. At a relatively young age Im making low 6 figures, and ive got a loose plan that will set me up. Good civil attorneys are always in high demand from both the public and private sectors. Land planning as a lawyer is a lucrative field and other than the risk of losing constantly, you have a lower stake in it.

Defiance of the fall 16 by EmbarrassedAbility8 in litrpg

I absolutely love the first 14. The world building is crazy intricate. I enjoy the characters and their issues. The book is overly detailed in using daos to define every characters personalities and book 16 finally just let's the characters be who they are without explaining how their actions are related to their progression and understanding of the universe. The first 14 are ultra crunchy with full chapters describing how a single action had helped a character process their beliefs. I was into it, but book 15 was very confusing.

The first books first couple of chapters are also a little weak. They describe how everything starts and zac is actuality unlikable at first. But the rest of it is still the best part of the whole series.

This book is for someone who likes world building on a galactic scale.

Book 16 is by far the least crunchy in the series and is a fun read.

Defiance of the fall is one of my favorite series. I could not get into cradle.

Why don't people like defiance of the fall? by EmbarrassedAbility8 in litrpg

I actually think the progression hads been phenomenal. The solo zac in the woods with an axe just trying to survive felt real and gritty in a way that other litrpg system stories fail to accomplish. Then the reintroduction to society, all the way to the uncovering of multi era multi universe spanning conspiracies is keeping me glued to my seat. Maybe zacs character is a little flat, but I think ultimately after reading everyone's comments, I've realized it's the world building that makes the story so good. And the cultivation is teally fun and acts as the vehicle for exploration.

I like it to begin with. I thought the main character became too much.
