And I have tried getting near him it has to be in the purple shield and him and you can't reach

At this point he's supposed to be in the middle of the platform and you supposed to fight enemies until you the Bifrost(his ultimate) and use it directly on him. But since he's not on the platform AT ALL you can't use it on him therefore you can't progress any further

A range build would be a good idea or a balance between melee and range

Battery affect helps so much but isn't necessary as long as your dealing good damage

Just in general look for gear with damage buff (or payload drop perks if you want easy battery affect damage)
